I booked this hotel only because Turkish Airline, which is excellent, provided a free stop over night there, so I booked additional 4 nights to save the hassle of changing hotels. I was under assumption that this was a 4-star hotel. It is not.
The hotel is very dated and tired. The steps leading to the foyer are all broken. The furnishings are circa 70s, well worn and in need of replacement. We were given a room with three single beds, even though we booked queen. The free breakfast was so terrible that we chose to eat at a lovely restaurant across the road. Turkey has beautiful food, however not at this hotel. When we asked for directions, the hotel staff informed us that the information is down the road, where you can buy maps etc. This information centre, 10 minutes away, is always closed. Turkish airways is letting its reputation down with this hotel.
