I stay at a lot of different hotels, and I very rarely write reviews. However, This was the most awkward hotel stay I have EVER had. I booked for two days, but checked out after one. It started with them charging my credit card before I even checked in, before arriving. I got a call early in the day on the day of check in to see when exactly I would be there. Then a friend came to visit for a short time, and within minutes of arrival I got a call from the front desk to get an ID. I have never stayed in a place that keeps that close of tabs on the guests. It was unsettling. Yes there is a sign stating that ID is required, but I assumed it was for guests that would be staying the night. Not for someone coming for a short visit. The visit was not even late at night, it was early evening.
The condition of the property was not much better. Everything was dingy. The towels were not white and had holes. The bedding was not white. There was what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet. It was very run down. Also very oddly there is a price list posted on the wall on coats of damages or missing items. I didn’t look in the fridge or microwave, so can’t talk as to their condition.
The staff seemed friendly enough, but again intrusive. All in all, would not recommend.
