Nice accommodation❣️
A lovely room and people. Not as quiet as one might think being 16 miles off 118.

I loved my stay here, but the location is fairly remote from town. Quiet and secluded

Beautiful views!
What a fabulous location surrounded by mountains!! The hotel is dated, but clean and comfortable! They have an excellent restaurant on site and the staff was great!

Great service and great food. Room and bed were comfortable. There is a dirt path road you have to travel to get here

Go for the dark sky
We stayed here to visit the Big Bend National Park. The entrance to the park ended up about an hour away, but our stay was well worth it. We got to experience “Dark Sky” and was absolutely beautiful. The cafe provided excellent service. We would stay again. Very rural but very nice place

Off the beaten path for a visit to Big Bend
It's one of the lodging options around the Big Bend NP. It's 16 miles off the highway and the last 3 miles is unpaved, which makes it less than ideal for a multi-day visit to the park. Otherwise it is a reasonable choice to visit the park. The restaurant, Bad Rabbit, at the lodge is better than expected but the in-room WiFi is very bad.

Amazing nighttime view of the sky. The room was very clean and a nice quiet place.

Great place for family
What a delightful place for my grandson and I to stay on our vacation across the great state of TX! Our lodge room was large and clean with a small fridge and our private bathroom. We were traveling in the middle of February and the overnight temp got down to mid 40s but we were perfectly comfortable inside. We put on our winter coats and sat on the lovely deck after dark watching the stars…so many! There’s a great welcome notebook with information about the ranch and the area. Dinner was at the Bad Rabbit, the little on-site restaurant. GREAT burgers and fries! Beautiful location nestled in the shadow of the….butte? Hill? Sorry we only had one night here, would highly recommend.

Stars, sunrises, the whole nine yards. Love the remote nature of this place with excellent food options on site. Best getaway.

Night sky viewing experience
Location for night sky viewing was worth the driving unpaved roads for 3 miles.

Super friendly and helpful people. Basic accommodations but clean and safe feeling. It’s a long drive but given other options we saw, we would stay here again if lodging in the national park wasn’t available.

The lodge location and facilities are great. It is surrounded by mountain and very much nature oriented. Friendly staff and guests. Only downside for folks to note is that the drive from the main road is a bit far and the last 3 miles is dirt road.

Worth the drive!
No welcome email was sent prior to arrival so we were unaware that the main desk closed at 5pm. Further, phone calls to the front desk and the manager went unanswered so it appears that calls are not forwarded after hours. We arrived at 10 pm hoping someone would help us. Thankfully, there was a late check in system established. Room was great, food at the Angry Rabbit was great . . . Everything was perfect with the exception of the administrative part. Now that we know how the site works, I will gladly go back and would happily recommend it to friends and family.

Very unique stay, nice little cabins for rooms, very quiet and lots to do. The restaurant was great and the service also.

Mixed Stay
It is pretty far from the park. It takes an hour to get from the ranch to the major trailheads. Plus side, the restaurant is excellent! Small menu but very well done amd great staff! Minus, wifi at the resort (the restaurants has it's own and it works well) was abysmal and the walls in the cabin are paper thin. I could hear every conversation next door word for word and thwy were just talking at a normal volume.
Robert, 4-night trip

4/10 Fair

The place is so dark and hard to find.

Great place for some quiet contemplation. Remote location. It will take you about an hour to reach entrance to Big Bend. We enjoyed sitting out and enjoying the night sky.
