Kimpton Shorebreak
It started out not great when we came in at 2:30 am and was advised that parking was 47USD for the whole stay to then be told minutes after that it is actually per day. It was too late for us and after a long day of travel, it did not give me a great impression of the hotel.
The decor is cute and trendy but some details show the age of the hotel and how it lacks attention. We never got two bottles of water a day as mentionned included in the resort fee and some days when they changed the towels, we did not get new ones. The floors in our bathroom was always dirty which is understandable due to the sand but still… the AC was extremely loud and the room was on ground floor where you can see people walking on the street day and night.
On the positive note, the hotel is situated only a few meters away from the beach which is great, they offer coffee and water every morning in the lobby (although other Kimptons offer snacks which they didn’t) some of the hotel staff were so great, especially that lovely lady that greeted us every morning with a big smile. Thank you, you really made a big difference in our stay.
Overall, We want to come back, however, I would not pay more than 250 CAD a night.
