Positives: solution orientated staff, lush and green surroundings, surprisingly good breakfast. Negatives: incredible hot and stuffy room, faul smelling bed linnen, quite uncharming interior. Overall: Most likely great for conferences etc., and for one night stays.

We had a nice stay but on the site it said bikes could be hired. We asked but the hotel didn’t have any which meant we had to rely on expensive taxis and the bus. Only on the last day did we realise Birkerod station had bolt bikes which would have been great to get about on as we decided not to hire a car .

Poor standard for a Comwell Hotel. Poorly cleaned rooms with dirty carpets, mattresses, toilets and in general bathroom cleanliness. There was mold in the shower, garbage in the hallway from other rooms that wasn’t collected over the weekend. Some of the rooms have very poor water pressure in the shower, to such a degree that it’s difficult to get a proper shower. There was also a lack of warm water… Toilet-brushes on the common bathroom in the lobby were disgusting. We have stayed here three times when visiting families, two of the times another room has had issues with bedbugs and cleanliness. The breakfast is decent with good selection and healthy food.

To get new towels, you have to scan a QR code and provide your room number, after which you receive a confirmation. Apparently, this system doesn’t always work, even after receiving the confirmation, and the staff were not very helpful in resolving the issue. You were then expected to collect the towels yourself, even though it clearly wasn’t your fault. It also seems that remarks may be made, as nothing was asked at checkout about whether my stay was satisfactory. All in all, a rather unusual experience.

Stayed here during our trip because we like to be away from the tourist areas and we also had a car so the location being 20 mins outside central Copenhagen was great. Very lovely leafy suburb with plenty of conveniences nearby. You do need a car at this property though, without transport it would be too inconvenient. Plenty of free parking outside and the hotel itself was in very good condition, it would have been perfect but we had to change room on the second night because the heating in our room stopped working but the young man on reception quickly organised a new room for us, which actually had a better TV with access to Netflix. Breakfast was very good, a wide selection and lots of tables to eat in peace. This hotel is very much a conference hotel for business people which made it very quiet and calm, I didn't see any children there, which was perfect foflr us because we like to experience being among the locals instead of tourists. Would definitely stay here again when visiting wonderful Copenhagen.
