The host was quite busy but attended our needs and questions. It was a lovely place to stay and would book it again in the future. We actually stayed a couple of nights and then returned a few days later. Very comfortable and everything was great.

Nice and quiet but aging facility in need of updating and property maintenance. Breakfast was great.

Funky but fine
Very Funky but Fine for a night’s sleep. Property is old and shows its wear, in residential area so no shops or restaurants in walking distance - have to order out. I can imagine noisy guests would be a problem in adjoining rooms but I slept well.

Poor. Would not recommend
Poor. Was sold a standard room with queen bed (which photos showed to have a bathroom). Was put into a single room and the bathroom was down a corridor… very inconvenient for an older guest. Hotel generally understaffed, not very friendly and lacking in amenities.

The property was older but the price for the area was reasonable. The night clerk was great and did a great job taking care of us

Nice place
Easy check in. Rooms transfer sounds easily so if your looking for sound sleep may need ear plugs. Bed was soft and comfortable. Stairs are a bit hard to move luggage around. Nice place good breakfast. Use of kitchen was very helpful on way to early morning at airport

2/10 Poor

I booked it seeing the 7.2 rating on Expedia. Bad start, had to snake my way to even find hte office thorugh run down entrance. Finally, with some help, I found the office and was told that I am booked in a satellite facioity, few blocks away. That building was under construction with no working elevators, had to haul the luggage to the third floor. Construction debris and dirt everywhere. Doubt if they had certificate of occupancy. Stay far away form this property, spend your money somewhere else, don't let pictures fool you. Now I discover, the property had terrible rating on other booking sites

The property is "dated". 1980's desk, bed frame, nightstand, etc. With that being said, the bed was comfortable, the place was clean, hot water with ample water pressure, and friendly staff. They do have Roku and internet, but not cable TV. If you're looking to stay 1 or 2 nights this, and/or single/couple place will do. With that being said I cannot recommend the facility with families that have small children.

Nice people, comfortable lodging, This hotel needs to update the website. The photos on there are misleading. The facility is much older than the website portrayed

I read a lot of bad reviews after I had already prepaid so I was worried. 1. There is actually staff, this is NOT one woman doing everything alone. 2. They are very clean rooms, my niece laid down on the floor in the room and I was fine with it. The bathroom was clean the mini fridge was clean. I didn’t smell any musty odors or over powering cleaners or bug sprays. 3. The entryway is through an enclosed green house but there are plenty of directional signs and it’s easy. 4. There is no elevator(bed and breakfast type places don’t usually have those) but we didn’t expect one. If you want a hotel with an elevator then pick a hotel with an elevator instead. 5. As far as the complaints about outdated rooms, that is the charm of the place. We loved it and would go back again. There is a whole wall of books upstairs (which kept me up half the night reading) and the people running things are very pleasant and helpful. If you want a luxury hotel rent one, if you want a lovely comfortable room that doesn’t feel impersonal go here.

Everything was great! However, it isn’t your standard Inn. It’s like an apartment or multi-family housing turned into a hotel. At first we thought we were lost as we drove through a small residential neighborhood. The Inn has residential homes on all sides. We followed the office signs through a 2 story screen room, walked upstairs, and came into a hallway with a lobby fountain. The only room we could see from there appeared as a residential kitchen with someone sitting at the counter with some paperwork and 2 other people in conversing about reservations. We were a little confused as we were invited into the kitchen lol. It was not the usual check in experience even though everyone acted as if it was totally normal to do business in the kitchen. While we paid the rate for a queen or king bed room we were given a penthouse suite with a large jacuzzi tub. It felt safe, was very clean, and had all of the amenities we needed and more for a great price! Although I have lived in AK for 4 years now it reminded me of just how different things can be in AK. Repurposing and making do with what you have is pretty typical in Alaska but it can make for some unusual experiences. It’s also a large portion of the fun and adventure of exploring Alaska!
