Staff were excellent and accommodating to our late check in, rooms were comfy clean and spacious! Lovely and quiet with a small town Colyne down the road for food and other options!

Old, even the mattress. Some decor charming, very overpriced breakfast however the staff was trying to be accommodating.

I liked it for its simple beauty with all of the beautiful plants and trees. One detractor was some of the wood on decking/stairs to cottages look like need to be replaced. Other than that the staff was very helpful & pleasant! I would stay again

A goog time was had by all...
We very much enjoyed our short two day stay at this hotel, particularly the breakfasts and the four poster bed! Just struggled with the toiletries when taking a shower as there were no shelves. Also pleased to have met the goats and donkeys too!

We were late checking in, but the worker was outside waiting for us and called us by name. The property is very large and beautiful. It was so quiet and the beds were very comfortable. You do have to drive a short distance down a dirt road. St first we thought we were lost.

Picturesque Old Estate
The venue was delightful - a beautiful old estate. Picturesque setting; the room was comfortable and clean; quiet countryside location outside of town; great price. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful buildings and surroundings. Room was elegant, warm and the bed so very comfortable! Peaceful and quiet, well- tended gardens full of birdsong. I only wish I could have stayed longer - will definitely be back!

A beautiful property. Very charming. There are donkeys and a dog! The dog is quite elderly and doesn’t like being petted but he's so cute! Top class toiletries and a beautifully appointed room. Some of the surafces were a little dusty. But so cute and relaxing

8/10 Very good

Lovely hotel and grounds. It was a bit remote, you can't really walk to food - it's around 2 kms I guess which is fine, but that road is narrow and people drive fast on it. Easy to miss the turn into it - lots of "Barnabow" places on the road nearby. The goats and donkeys are fun. Room was a bit small.

The location is great. Parking not near rooms and cars driving past my room woke me late and early. It would be good if you could get some soup at night when the weather is bleak. Otherwise the places recommended to drive to were great. First pub on list is permanently closed though. Fleet of young Ladies serving were lovely. Breakfast was good. As was lunch. Thank you, I loved the decor.

6/10 Good

Nice room (no TV however). Brand new conversion. The main house was surrounded by other dwellings that are part of the overall property. Not a great setting

8/10 Very good

Reception was inadequate. When addressing our concerns the owner (?) did not introduce herself, got both my christian and surname completely wrong, was not interested in addressing our concerns so clearly the lack of customer focus came from the top. Breakfast not until 9 was clearly for their convenience not customers. The bathroom had no window or exact fan
Robert Wynn, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Bed was Ok. A problem with the shower, either cold or very hot water, could not get the water temp right. No dinner or breakfast available when we stayed. Car park was a long way from the room. No TV, slow internet (was not 20 Meg as advertised). Poor mobile coverage.
Gary, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The property was set in the country and had a nice outward appearance. The staff did contact us a couple of times for our estimated arrival time and we told her both times the same thing. When we arrived there had been torrential rains and we were frozen. The room was cold and the woman at reception told us that the room would have heat but she wasn’t exactly sure when. There was a small electric heater we could control but the hot water radiators were out of our control. We closed the windows and went to dinner to wait for the heat. When we came back it had begun to warm up. The room was large. The rug and couch were stained and worn. The bed and pillows were hard and lumpy. The sheets were not very good quality. There was a kettle, tea, and coffee. The room smelled a bit of hay and reminded me a bit of a barn. Since we couldn’t control the heat the room got stifling hot, then chilly again in the early morning hours and then stifling again. I cannot recommend this property for a hotel stay.
