The unfortunate events in Tunisia last year have taken a HUGE toll on tourism. MANY hotels have closed and the ones remaining are running well below their guest capacities. This was very much in our favor. We received an incredible price on the El Mouradi Skanes that we thought would be loaded with extra charges an unpleasant surprises upon our arrival. HOWEVER, we were never charged anything over what we paid on Travelocity.
Granted, your are not staying at the Ritz Carlton, but for the price, you receive an AMAZING value. It is a four star hotel and comes across as such. Although the hotel has over 500 rooms, during our stay they were probably using less than 100 of them. But, the hotel still offered all of their advertised services including, pools, spa, activities, and entertainment.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. We felt they made it their priority to make sure all of our needs were being met. One morning in the buffet restaurant, the waiters were fighting over who would get to serve us. The staff is multilingual and very well trained in hospitality.
