The best thing about this hotel was the free train ride away from it!! I know it's a 3 star so I didn't expect the Ritz, but it should've been advertised as the slum hotel. It's so out dated and they try and make money out of you by charging you for everything.
No hairdryer in the room, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. You have to hire a room fan as there's no air conditioning. Hire the safe, the fridge even the TV remote not that we went on holiday to watch TV but why put on in the room and then not allow you to watch it.
The showers leak all over the floor looks like you have a swimming pool for a bathroom and the bed linen had stains on it. One of my friends rooms had dried blood stains on her bed!! The pool is filthy floating bits everywhere and there's more people than sunbeds.
Stay clear of the burgers at snack time the toasties are "safe" the main meals consisted of the same foods every night nearly always chicken and pork, salad, fries, veg etc but it was incredibly salty. The breakfast was full english, toast, yoghurts, pastries etc again either salty or sugary. We are out down by the beach a few times. Not only was the food not great but no air conditioning downstairs or very little which meant it was like a big sweat box.... Lovely!! The public toilets also had no locks on the doors.
The bar staff and reception were really friendly and helpful when we had a problem.
Overall it was a very typically English hotel not for us at all.
