Stayed at grand forks Canad inn
My family and I had a blast at our first Waterpark/Hotel. Hotle was great and was the waterpark. Well definitely be back again!!
Most of the staff is awesome. Including Bryce who works in the tavern, William the night staff, Michael the day staff, Richard the security working the pool during the day, and the female staff on day. However, Ashley the night manager was rude the second night of our stay (she did not work our first night) I had gone to talk to her about checking in again because we had booked another night. She was clearly annoyed I had booked "three seperate times". I apoligized we decided we wanted to stay more nights.. She rolled her eyes about it and made it super uncomfortable to check in for another night. It took one staff to ruin our experience and make us uncomfortable. But wait theres more.... After we spent more money which was about a total of $750 between food and rooms over four nights, on night three we recieved a room complaint from "2 rooms across the hall" 2 days in a row according to Ashley. (There was only one room occupied across the hall. The previous evening we were in bed by 10:30 and we were at the pool all day.) She sent security up at 11:25. When I asked the nature of the room complaints she told me that 45 minutes prior she received two room complaints that we were slamming doors. I explained that we had the security latch to keep the door open and we had let the door close while going to get ice. According to their policy quiet time is at 11 p.m. if it was 45 minutes prior it would have been 10:40 which is twenty minutes before quiet time and we had gone to get
great place
Had to wait for room to be cleaned till 5pm.. and the windows and glass cups were fullbof hand prints
We ordered a king bed but the bed is a queen..
The room was nowhere near as nice as we expected for a honeymoon suite. There was a whistling sound that went off every 2 seconds all night long. Might have been something outside blowing in the wind but it made sleep impossible. If it had actually been my honeymoon I would have cried I would have been so disappointed in that room. Hotels.com photos are not correct.
The first night after checking in, leak on the a/c unit and it was a loud whining noise, the TV and light above the spa tub was out and not working the tv had to also be reset. Maintenance came up immediately fixed those issues. Next day, same noise from ac then also found that the shower head was not even working in a suite and maintenance had to come up and fix our tv, not only did this all happen but the maids never came to clean our room or replace our towels that were in the tub.
Water park and arcade are awesome. Walls are thin. It was very loud. I could hear other rooms and people in the hall. Heater cover hinge was broke. Room wasn’t ready at check in.
Staff was friendly and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable
