A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a quality hotel. All the staff were efficient but very approachable, friendly.and readily offered advise - nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted to help. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool/sea with a huge shower & separate bath. It was worth paying for the view. There was a lovely singer during the buffet, who also sang in the Martini Bar, alternating with a saxophonist. A belly-dancer also performed throughout the evening - she was excellent. Lovely pools, lovely staff and we enjoyed the food. Our 2-night stay came at the end of a hectic week's driving around this lovely country. It was a fabulous place to relax and snorkel nearby. Being a Middle Eastern country, yes, there was security at the gate & at the entrance to the hotel, as like most other hotels in the area, for which I am thankful. It wasn't a problem - just smile & say hello - Jordanians are very friendly people. It was refreshingly nice to stay at a hotel with not just international tourists but also with national families, just having a lovely holiday. Children just quietly playing who were delightful. We loved our holiday in Jordan & this hotel was a perfect end to it.
We stayed here on our last night in Jordan. Reception is extremely slow, check in took a while but check out took forever, even worse is the locals don’t have any concept of queuing and just push in front of you which is really annoying if you’ve already been stood for 20 minutes. I was asked to complete a satisfaction survey whilst I waited and even though they could see I’d rated poorly because duration of time spent in reception they completely ignored it. Asked twice if I’d taken anything from the mini bar as if asking once wasn’t sufficient! Every hotel we stayed in Jordan had complimentary soft drinks in minibar, this was the only one where there was a charge, however they were also the only one to provide milk pots for tea. Great location with access to the sea and couple of nice pools. Evening buffet was good but needed to endure the cabaret act. breakfast selection good, very similar to most international hotels in Jordan, approx 21JD pp for dinner. Had lunch at the pool bar and it was bland and very overpriced. Room quite basic and orange!
Good stay but staff refused to negotiate extension of stay at the previous rate, despite the hotel being far from full.
Excellent breakfasts. Helpful staff. Hotel Close to town- walkable
During a pandemic (COVID) one expects less, but the Aqaba Intercontinental staff went above and beyond to make us feel pampered with a smile on top of a great service. Cleanliness, social distancing, and hygiene requirements were available at each corner of the hotel. The staff very well experienced on handling the new normal, breakfast buffet artfully arranged and delivered to the hotel visitors. A BIG THANK YOU to all.
Mustafa very professional and helpful. Great experience.... great service.
First the check in was not warm welcoming . They tried to charge for breakfast even though it was included in the price .luckily I had a print out of the reservation otherwise they would not have beleived me. Then the manger says it is a system mistake ! Then they want to charge 50$ per night for a roll away bed. At check out they wanted to charge 30$ per hour for 2 hours i requested. A hamburger is 17$ at poolside . Honestly the hotel is not worth the money especially when i paid 230$ per night.
Great beach crystal clear water enjoyed the stay with my family
Hotel is really great luxurious and staff are professional Rooms are wide and big
We have stayed in many hotels around the world and can vouch that this is one of the best we have stayed, from waseem at the reception to the main manager. They all went out of their way to please us including a late check out. The family rooms are very spacious and include a partition dividing wall. The beds are very comfortable. Each of the two children had separate beds (1 was a double sofa bed). Looking at the other beaches at Aqaba, intercontinental has the most spacious, cleanest with fantastic pools! All the main food places, tourist attractions, shopping etc is within walking distance. The hotel internally is very well presented from the art work to the live piano playing. The breakfast was....AMAZING! You need at least 1.30 hours to savour it all. If you are considering a hotel with class that will cater for both you and the kids then look no further. Very highly recommended!
