This was way better than I expected. Room was spacious and clean. The staff was very nice. Cool hangout area in lobby. Great location to train and walking to everything in Oslo. I highly recommend to stay. Was very happy with my choice. Only problem is my room was by elevator that I could hear.

My stay at the Comfort Hotel Xpress was fantastic, the room I stayed in was perfect for a solo traveller in Oslo for a few days. There was a good selection of sandwiches and rolls at the front desk, with the team being really wonderful advising me on the best place to get a quick bit of work done on my bicycle. When using the facilities the water got to temperature really quickly and stayed at that temperature. Overall I'm really pleased and glad I stayed at this hotel. Now the negative... I did report this and I have know it'll be fixed. The shower door didn't entirely close so water would come out of the shower when I was using it, but I did report this and I am certain it has already been fixed If I return to Oslo again I will definitely stay here again, it was absolutely fantastic and I got a great unbroken night's sleep every single night I was there.

Hotel is well located within easy walking distance of plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc The room was a bit more compact that expected, although it was the size listed on this website (14sqm) the photos of rooms have a different layout to the room we got which made them look more spacious, eg we had to walk sideways to get into the far side of the bed as there was approx 1ft of space around the bed - this also left a bit of a quandary where to leave our suitcase as there wasn't really any storage space for clothes. I also had a mild panic when on the toilet as I couldn't see any toilet roll - the toilet roll holder was bizarrely UNDER the sink. However the shower was fantastic and the room was clean and quiet and good temperature. Not sure what was going on with the bed, but the bedsheet was not much larger than the mattress topper (approx 2" deep, where as you'd normally expect a bed sheet to fit around a standard entire mattress?) which meant every morning it had come loose which was mildly annoying. The TV had a mix of Norwegian and Swedish TV channels some of which showed English language programs, but it did not seem possible to cast your phone to the TV. There was a good amount of plug sockets in the room. Worth noting (i feel, as I've never encountered a lock system like this), that when you leave the room it does not lock automatically, you have to push the handle up then hold your keycard to the door to lock it, we did self check-in so unaware of this quirk.

You get what you pay at this hotel. Very basic, nice view from the rooftop area and central. Building site in front of hotel so was noisy if you had the windows open and they started earlyyyyyy. Rooms out back don't fair much better as bars down the street.

The bed was very spacious as it was a queen size platform bed. Even though I faced the courtyard, there was still plenty of light coming through the large window. The bathroom was very clean and very modern. It lacked a refrigerator. The hotel room did come with a fan to help. Cool you down if the room wasn’t cool enough for you. But the location was central to a lot of places so it was very convenient to walk everywhere and I didn’t have to take public transportation.
