Good Hotel close to San Juan Beach
I was in hotel 3 nights, everything was super. Restaurant is tasty and prices are good. To Alicante it takes 30 minutes with Tram 3 or Bus 21, and you have to go about 8 min from Bus stop. San Juan Beach is very big and brite, so in summer it will be super to stay in Hotel Almirante. To the beach it takes about 5 min by feet. Hotel is clean and modern.

Beautiful pool, close to the beach and a super market. Poor wifi, if you plan to work prepare to use data. Also if you are given room 108 it definitely has the worst balcony. Partial sea view is when you scoot over as close to the railing as possible but then you are in the view of everyone above and also the restaurant.

I didn’t put 5 stars because it seems that it could be better insulated, the next door guest was extremely unpleasant and complaint about my TV noise and conversations in our room. Maybe, the rooms could be better insulated to avoid the issues and bad moments we had, because the guy hit the wall very loudly and demanded that we shut up… so that was not pleasant, and made the rest of our stay slightly uncomfortable because we were worried that he would do it again.

The WIFI simply does NOT work. Completely unreliable. When it did work, i had to reenter password like 4 or 5 times per day. Ridicules. They say they will be replacing it. Make sure they actually did that.

Sadly, disappointing
I was not that impressed with our 2 night stay. Firstly, we emailed the reception 2 days before we arrived to ask if there was any chance of checking in earlier as a 4pm check-in is quite late, especially when off-season but to date we've had no response (we're now home) The shower had a rather bad smell coming from the drain. I don't go on holiday to watch tv but I do like it on before bed or when getting ready to go out, not one english speaking channel, which would be fine if you could stream Netflix or Prime but that wasn't available either. Went for lunch and apparently they think it's acceptable to offer a prawn, yes, one prawn for €11. Whilst I know this must be some kind of super prawn, this kind of hotel should not be adding this to a menu that has otherwise standard offerings i.e club sandwich, burger etc. There's only one lift so if the hotel is busy you'll be quicker walking (great when on the 5th floor) Overall, this hotel screams style over substance to me and I would not stay here again.
