Lots of Potential - But Not There Yet

The room itself was nice and easy parking, but the bathroom needed love. The gentleman checking us in was less than enthusiastic or welcoming, and they weren't willing to do anything about the couple blasting music next to us at all hours - sleeping with walls shaking from loud bass is not easy. Overall, good spot to stop for a night, but needs a little work.

Room smelled like cigarettes as soon as I walked in. The bath tub has spider web and there was only one body towel and one for the floor which was dirty.

Horrible, burn holes in the table and comforter, sink faucet wasn’t even attached to the sink, bathroom door doesn’t lock from the outside/open from the inside, bathroom had a hole filled with toilet paper to cover it, bugs in the shower, doors had to be full body weight slammed to close, bad area and so much more. Definitely does NOT look like the pictures. Do not spend your money here, spend the few extra dollars. Money wasted didn’t even stay for an hour before booking a different hotel day of.

Overall the Sunshine Motel was just okay. The room had an interesting smell although very clean and tidy. The hotel door only partially locked and had to use my knife to enlarge the dead bolt hole. I personally wouldn't stay there again because of a few dislikes but I guess you get what you pay for. Management and employees were friendly though. 3/5 stars.

The property was close to our second destination. What could be improved on would be the cleanliness. I found hair, what was not my own, in the shower along with a couple of bugs crawling along the bathroom shower wall.

Room is a lot smaller than shown but it was alright staff is rude though the gentleman has a thick accent which makes it hard to understand him so he got mad fast and was rude giving my $5 back for the extra room key he threw it along with the card back twords me and was just take it rude as well i probably wouldn’t go back

You get a Bed,Shower,Sink,TV,Ref,small Micwave. No place to hang things, no cabinets, no Bath items,no Coffee maker. No lobby. Check in/out through window outside, ring and wait for service. Selected for convenient location. Will make another choice next trip in June.

The place was pretty clean but the walls were paper thin so you can hear everyone in surrounding rooms. Parking is sparse, and someone blocked our car so in the morning the property manager had to knock on room doors to get the guy to move his car. It could be worse but it could also be better, and you do get what you pay for.

Motel for the LBGP

Emergency motel to the rescue! I booked a room to attend the Long Beach Grand Prix but received a call the day before my arrival telling me my room was canceled because someone damaged it. I was panicked and quickly located Sunshine Motel. It was expensive but everything else was double. So I took a chance. I found the place to be old but clean. The room was fine, the bed was okay and it was quiet. The manager is behind a screen but was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is fine with a number of food choices. It worked out well.
