We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Planamar for the second time. The location is fantastic, right by the beach with beautiful sea views and easy access to the promenade. Platja d’Aro is such a lovely and charming city with a great atmosphere, nice restaurants, and cozy streets to explore. The hotel is relaxed and the staff is welcoming and sweet. A special thank you for being so kind to our dog — it meant a lot to us and made the stay even better. Great breakfast and the setting by the sea made the stay extra special.

Amazing location right on the beach. It's a bit far from a major city to be without a vehicle so recommend a car rental if staying in this area. Older building but nicely kept. The food was good but selection was limited. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

We had four nights here and were treated exceptionally well from start to finish. The hotel is a bit older with some minor hiccups and smaller rooms, but the location and hospitality of the staff far exceeded our expectations. If we could give more stars than 5 for the staff, we would. Everyone - from front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were very kind and welcoming. Fantastic location, mere metres from the beach. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Fabulous hotel. Clean. Friendly breakfast brilliant. Staff attentive and professional Views from this hotel beautiful. Right on The beach with rear Mountain View. Rooftop pool is fabulous! Would definitely stay here again. Booked one night as a stop off on our travels. Liked it so much stayed another night. Excellent value for money too !

Beach front with balconies and sea views even from the rooms on the side. Beautiful hotel. Very nice and modern room and bathroom. Parking is a bit of an issue. They have parking close by for smaller cars, but larger cars have to park a bit away in the city center. But overall very nice hotel close to many restaurants.

We spent 10 nights at Planamar hotel. Our room was at the beach front. It was clean and had everything we needed during our stay for a summer vacation. There is a small pool at the hotel rooftop that we didn't use. You can get clean towels at the reception to use at the beach. We will definitely return.

The ocean view is blocked by trees if that is what you are looking for. Parking has a fee, is 3 blocks away and very difficult. The hotel looks better on the common areas, but the rooms are not as well mantained. I would pick a different place next time as there are plenty options in the area.

Worst hotel of the year. 2 stars but not 4 stars. Got cockroach in my room and a spider crushed on the wall. No intimacy in the bathroom as there is no separation btw bed and shower. Once you take your shower you have water in the entrance of the room. Very noisy from the street or next door. To end with unpolite guys at the reception when you arrive or when you live. No parking on site. So will not come back and not recommand.

Overall property was good but gym was closed at 8pm and I think gym supposed to be open for 24 hours for convenience. Outside restaurant was closed at 11pm. Outside patio should be open at least till 1am because it's nice to sit outside and drink alcohol or socialize.

I made my checkin at 1:00 am and they gave me a room, as soon I woke up they made me move out from the room stating that I should be downgraded. No superior room, no sea view. Rude receptionist
