9 Apr 2026Perfect place for a quick overnight stop while driving from LA to Boise. Ely gets cold during the winter, but we managed to stay very cozy. Having a door code made check-in easy and flexible. Would book again!

16 Feb 2026The room was super clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, the property was well-taken care of, and the owners were responsive to our inquiries. Location is central to restaurants, shops, etc. We will stay here again next time we are traveling through Ely. Highly recommend!

13 Jun 2026Funky, with spirit! I love the fact that the new owners were up front about their investment in the older property and passionate about gradually bringing it up to speed. It’s a classic motel in need of care, which means in need of customers. The room was totally clean, easy access, and easy parking for a motorcycle. I’m sure I’ll stay again, as it’s on my US 50 route for road trips. Keep this one going!

2 Apr 2026This is a great find in Ely. There is a bit of construction on the main drag but once done, it will be so much nicer and the downtown will be revitalized. This property is walking distance from downtown. They gave us a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant (in walking distance) and the food was top notch. The property is vintage, but relatively peaceful and super clean and tidy. I'm pretty sure it's headed for boutique chic in a few years.

1 Jan 2026Clean room and comfortable beds. Renovations not complete but looks like they are getting there. A little trouble getting our check in info, owner was finally reached and apologized saying his phone had died. We were able to get in and had a restful nights sleep!

The hotel was old (as is almost everything else in Ely) but the hotel was clean, check in was easy, and the showers were hot! The beds were comfortable, although a little hard, but overall a decent place, especially for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed @ Grand Central for 2 nights it’s a clean room no smells or bugs & quiet place with a friendly neighborhood . My husband Robert enjoyed staying specially me the wife 😇 I love to watch outside peacefull with a beautiful view beautiful small town so relaxing . We don’t mind to recommend this Motel to our friends .

19 Apr 2025Cheap and quirky small town motel, you get what you pay for (in a good way). I crashed here for a night on a road trip. Quiet spot, contactless check in, payment, check out etc. means you don't even have to speak to another human during your stay (unless you want to, of course), which was new to me but a pleasant experience. Would def stay here again if I'm ever back on Hwy 50.
