Saruhan Hotel is charming, friendly, very comfiortable, with real local character. The roof terrace is gorgeous, the breakfast (on terrace) is splendid. Our room with park/sea view was perfect. Historic sites are a comfortable walking distance, and local eating is good (with hotel's advice). We will definitely stay again on our next trip.

Saruhan is a very beautiful and quirky little hotel, with lovely traditional Turkish decor. The room however was very stuffy when I first entered and I had to open a window. There was no remote for the air conditioning unit and also none of the tv channels worked so that was redundant. The bed was quite creaky, slightly hard and for some reason the beautiful runner blanket disappeared after the room was serviced the first day. Plus the walls are definitely not soundproof as I heard a woman sneezing and coughing all night one of the nights! So comfort wise not amazing, but it didn't ruin the experience - it's clean and good value for money. The location is lovely as it is quiet but can be a bit daunting finding it at night if you are arriving late. The staff are extremely welcoming and extra kudos must go to the lady singly serving all the delicious traditional breakfast on the balcony, of which the variety was superb. The view from the breakfast terrace is wonderful as well.

Enjoyed my stay. Hotel is in a quieter area of sultanamet. 12-15 mins walk to tram way up a hill and about the same to Blue Mosque, hippodrome etc. Right across from park that Turkish families enjoy. Great breakfast on rooftop terrace with view of the sea (though also noise of traffic up there). Free coffee and tea all day. Large room with good aircon and great wifi. Would stay again for sure here.
