Stayed 3 nights in one of the Pioneer Huts. Clean and comfortable room, fantastic deck with bush views and a procession of wildlife. Clean bathroom with good shower. On-site bar and restaurant available for lunch and dinner, meals were very good quality and good-sized servings. At least one bush breakfast is also a must. Room has a small fridge and tea-coffee making facilities but not much else for self-catering. The magic here is the wildlife, bush and of course the Lava Tubes, an absolute must see. Would recommend at least two of the guided tours. Lots of hiking trails available straight from your room. Very good communications from reception prior to arrival so there were no surprises, the location is somewhat remote with no services nearby.

A well organised and attractive property offering interesting tours of the geology of the area. The tent accommodation option proved comfortable and practical. Facilities for food preparation and eating are good but the addition of basic eating utensils would have enhanced the experience further

Fantastic stay yet again - Amazing!

Stated in the new Homsteads this time, the only accommodation I hadn't previously stayed in. Very modern and comfortable. Good WiFi out front of cabin, but not inside, excellent up at restaurant area. Room and bathroom were both spacious and clean. Good hot water and water pressure in shower. Bed comfortable, though the pillows were quite hard. Very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant, as usual was excellent. The subset tour was awesome, Ty was a fantastic tour guide. Fantastic stay !

We last visited the Undara Caves 55 years ago, yes in 1970! We bush camped in swags in the dirt. What a pleasure to now have enjoyed the very comfortable Undara Lodge facilities. The converted railway carriage we had was delightful. We were able to visit Barkers Cave again, that we had explored in our early 20s.

We booked a swag tent, so we of course didn’t expect any luxury, and it was OK. However, the tents themselves are quite old with rusty windows some of which was impossible to close, and tears in its fabric. Overall everything including linens was quite old. In addition the stuff was very hard to reach. We had questions about late check in and it was impossible to reach them. They didn’t answer our messages and didn’t pick up the phone.
