We enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and comfortable. The property blends modern furnishings while maintaining its old charm well. It was kind of expensive, but I guess the market sets the rate.

We travel monthly and this was one of the coolest locations and such a historic building to stay in. Absolutely beautiful. The room didn’t have a TV or any entertainment options, but the location was wonderful. We were able to walk to great restaurants, bars and shops, as well as to the Detroit Pistons game. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!
The El Moore Lodge was a great experience in the heart of Detroit. Small/Boutique building with residences above. The staff were very friendly. There's a lovely park next door and a market around the corner. I will definitely recommend this place to others!

I blame hotels.com more than the El Moore for the mishap. You guys mis-advertised the room that they were offering at that price. It’s in the basement, small, has no ventilation and barely any natural lighting, and has a detached bathroom you have to put in a code to get into. From what I understand after talking to the property manager is that is their cheapest, least booked room and they have much better options at a higher rate. I feel like you guys are duping the customer and setting up the El Moore for failure time and again by doing this. Show the actual room where people will be staying
