The staff at Dillard House made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It’s peak season and I know they are busier than normal, but as guests, we felt attended to the entire time we were there. The food, accommodations, and lodging were all 5 Stars and we will be back. We loved our room which was new and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the walk in shower was large and very clean/new. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our patio and the horses in the pasture.The stunning view of the mountains that surrounded us was a huge bonus. A family style buffet for dinner was delicious. Compliments to the chef and server!! If I go near Dillard, I would book again.

We stayed in the paddock rooms which were recently renovated. Bedding was very comfy. The room needs carpeting around the bed area as it’s only vinyl plank flooring in there, and the bathroom has a stone texture flooring which has a rougher feel to the foot than tile. They were doing construction right outside our patio, so the view was not a garden view. Lots of tractor noise around 7:30 am. I would go back, but stay in another area. Property is big and there’s a lot of construction going on. It’s a beautiful property.

The 'property' is a sprawling complex. Parts of it were very nice and parts of it ( like our room) were worn, and parts were still under construction, so a blanket review is difficult. The lobby/restaurant/bar/ gift shop was very modern, bright, and new with a trendy rustic decor. All the Staff was friendly. Our hotel room was in a row of rooms that was VERY DATED and tired. The furniture and finishes were mismatched everything, with much wear, and many years of use. It was actually kind of funny. I took pictures, because I didn't know whether to laugh, or be upset. I chose the former. The bathroom had many years of mildew collected in all the caulk joints and metal trim, wallpaper was peeling and stained, light fixture over the sink was a row of 4 bulbs with all the shades missing, the marble-ish floor had areas stained yellow. That being said... the bed was clean and comfortable. The TV worked, as did the toilet, shower, and sink. But....at $500/night we are accustomed to something much nicer. We would consider returning but would be very specific in the room we book.

Except for the main check-in area, the restaurant and front of the property, it was not as pleasant as we expected. Understandably, due to the ownership changing hands, the whole property is going through a total remodeling and restoration and the grounds and rooms have not been touched yet. The room was comfortable enough, but is still the same as it was with the original owners. It was clean, however. We are looking forward to staying there once everything is completed and from the looks of the future plans, it will be AMAZING, with a marvelous event facility, as well. From what I was told, completion should occur around the middle of 2027.

We stayed at a room in the Valley View Units over the Columbus Day weekend at the Dillard House, which is at a good location in north Georgia mountains. We enjoyed the wine tasting on the property. The front desk people were friendly and the restaurant was OK, but we can only give 3 stars for this property due to a few serious issues. 1). The room in the Valley View Units was infested with many bugs, including many stink bugs, flies, and crickets. These bugs, especially the smelly stink bugs are in every room. They can fly too! They are on my dresses (which I had to discard!), my water bottle, on the bed, on the couch, on the walls, and inside the AC machines! We could not sleep well at night, because we had to catch and kill these bugs before they land on our bed. These bugs came inside the room from under the doors and cracks of windows. They are literally everywhere. 2). The wifi never worked in our room. We had to drive to the front desk area to use wifi. 3). The room keys did not work well either. We had to drive to the front desk twice to fix the keys. Hope you can terminate these bugs to make it better.

This property will be a fantastic place....in about 2 years. Lots of construction right now. The owner's vision for his property is quite extensive. Sitting on porch of room rn tho is not too peaceful with all the construction. I'm not complaining because we enjoyed hearing about the plans. Just letting you know what you'll get. Staff is wonderful! Food excellent!! My only complaint - no coffee served on weekdays. We had to use the Keurig in the room. The only pods provided were light roast and decaf. We ran to the dollar store for milk and made it work. The rooms need medium and dark roast pods. But this could all be overlooked if they served coffee in the lobby.
