My god, this place was so amazing!! Close to the main road and super cheap tacos, across the highway 200, but two blocks from the beach. The pool was just outside our suite, which was kick ass. Host Eva was super helpful. Highly recommended. And no issues with wifi or anything.

Villas Mi Mexico exceeded our expectations from the moment we checked in and left. We stayed in a Comfort suite which was very spacious, with a comfortable king size bed, a huge bathroom with a great shower. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes/pots/pans, a 6-burner gas stove and oven, full size fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. Having an unlimited amount of drinking water was a huge bonus as well. Keep in mind that this a reasonable maintained but older property with a generous amount of stairs and character. The Villas are a short walk to restaurants, shopping and beaches and an easy pick up when using ride-sharing. The beaches in this area are some of the best we have found in the Puerto Vallarta region. We look forward to staying here again.

The villas have a rustic charm that we loved, rooms are spacious (750 square feet) with separate kitchen, bedroom. The patio was used extensively for dining and had a great view. Eva the manager was very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Villas Mi Mexico. It was comfortable, easy walking distance to the beach, and close to shopping and great restaurants. The grounds were immaculate and rooms clean, the housekeeping staff did a great job! Our host Eva was friendly and helpful with any of our questions, guiding us to where we wanted to go, telephoning for transportation and suggestions on places to see. We felt very comfortable and safe!!

The grounds were beautiful and well cared for and the pool was a lovely place to relax and cool off in the heat of the afternoon. Eva was a wonderful host and made sure our stay went smoothly. Staff and management were very helpful and accommodating. Our casita was very comfortable with fully equipped kitchen, only lacking a micro wave oven. Pool was great and accessible, plus chairs and loungers. For people with mobility issues the property has a lot of open air stairs but within walking distance to many restaurants and the beach. We would love to return.

Eva was amazing. Anything that we needed she was always willing to take care of our needs. The only down side to this place is, if you have issues with mobility, the hill down to and back up from the dining options, shopping, beach, and the parking area could be a challenge. There are a lot of stairs to and from the parking area. Other than that, it is a great place and we had a wonderful time. If we ever visit Bucerias, we will try to stay here again.

We arrived in the evening and host Eva was kind enough to come in on her day off to get us settled. The room was clean and just as pictured. The kitchen was well-equipped with all you might need. We had a very large patio area with a propane barbecue. The pool was heated just enough to be comfortable but still refreshing, we used it daily. This is a smaller hotel, which is just what we wanted. No lobby and great atmosphere that lent itself to meeting the other guests.

Eva was in touch with us prior to our arrival and met us at the door with a friendly welcome. Her place is really nice and although it’s close to a highway, there are no noise concerns. The rooms are very spacious and well lit with large windows. AC was available but not needed during our stay. The pool was clean and well-maintained. This is a perfect place to stay while visiting Bucerias! Villas Mi Mexico is a beautiful property that looks like a 1950s or 60s film set - the pool is so instagram friendly! My adult daughter and I had a great stay in one of the standard bedroom plus futon rooms. There is a large bathroom and a fully functioning kitchenette which really came in handy for making breakfasts. Villas Mi Mexico is as central as you can get - 3 minute walk to the beach, a 15 minute walk to the Centro and flea market. The set up is private and the building is very quiet. If you are noise sensitive, ask to have one of the units that face the zona Dorada - these units are away from all traffic noise. I am a light sleeper and heard nothing but wind in the trees all night.

What a wonderful host Eva was. Knowledgeable, patient, inviting and welcoming. She always said, "hola" in passing, using my name, and graciously allowed for space but also conversation at our pace. We loved the Mexican charm of our little studio by the pool and the view from the above suite was amazing. The regular guests became friends and we enjoyed meeting new guests over the course of our stay. I would recommend renting a room or suite away from the road, if you can and if you like a view and don't mind spiral stair cases, the upper, cheaper suite we had was fantastic! We just shut the main door to keep the traffic noise down. It wasn't as big a concern as we had anticipated. Highly recommend the lovely Villa Mi Mexico. We intend to go back, next year.

This property exudes charm, and is exactly as advertised, and perfect for our first Bucerias visit! Eva the manager was so very kind and although we arrived after midnight due to a flight delay, we checked in without a problem. She was always reachable! Walkable 10 minutes to everything! Sooo many dining options with a few minutes. The beach is two minutes out back. It’s very quiet, the pool is perfect temperature, the room had AC. It’s an older property, but well kept! This property is south of the main square in Bucerias. We’d walk the street north to the main square (street market food and vendors) then walk the whole way back on the beach!! There are about three stories of stairs out the back of the property to the street. Or a steep hill out the front and down the street. If you have any mobility issues this may not be the place for you. We were sad to leave, but we’ll definitely be back!! Thank you!!

What a wonderful stay!!! 😀😀 From check in to check out we were made to feel very welcome Eva met us upon arrival with a friendly smile. She gave us a nice showing of how everything worked and we settled in for our stay. As the days progressed more people came . Because it is a small place - probably 20 to 30 people when full - everyone felt comfortable with each other and you really felt you were a part of a community. Not just a person at a resort of several hundred, or thousand, people. Even someone as quiet and shy as me fit in. Eva was so good to us. There was a guy there who seemed to have trouble with the locks and bbq. It turned out he was the only person there having this problem. :). Yes it was me. 😀. Each time I went to her, Eva smiled, and patiently helped me to get it to work.Thank-you. All the staff are very helpful, friendly, and do a very good job of cleaning and keeping the grounds looking nice. We were made to feel welcome everyday. The grounds look immaculate with flowers, bushes, and grounds kept very tidy. There is a heated swimming pool that is used daily. Much warmer than the ocean. The location is perfect. A short walk to the beach and to several VERY good restaurants. As perfect as Villa Mi México is, there is a factor that can be tough. It is on the side of a quite steep hill. If you have heart or breathing difficulties this place is probably not for you. We would love to come back. Thank you, Eva and staff. 12/10

We loved staying here! The location is perfect, near so many restaurants, coffee shops, markets and of course, the beach. The whole property is very well kept, both indoors and out. It has a boutique-y, local vibe. All 16 suites on the property are different sizes and styles, scattered in villas and buildings on the enclosed property. Some of the buildings are older, some newer. We stayed in the front villa and really appreciated the classic details, doors and hardware. Our kitchen was newly remodeled and stocked well with dishes, pans, full sized fridge, stove, microwave & coffee maker. You will need to supply all food and coffee on your own. This is not a problem, since there are many places within walking distance, but just important to know. Shower, water and bathroom worked great with basic shampoo and soap provided. The property grounds are situated across a hill on a large parcel right in the middle of the city, so there are fun little views throughout. You can hear some traffic, but it is not bothersome at all. The pool is well kept, plenty of chairs and even a nice grill area. It was a great place to meet and chat with the other guests! The manager was so friendly and really seemed to care about her guests. Our plans changed in the middle of our trip, and she was able to accommodate us for an extra night. Final note: Follow the checkin instructions once you book, and contact the manager prior to arrival. The entrance can be hard to find otherwise.
