It was a great stay.
We gave the Wilmington Inn a 5 star rating due to the room being clean and comfortable. Upon arrival the receptionist was friendly and easy to deal with. The hotel is walking distance to nice restaurants. We felt safe at the location. That has not always been the case in some hotels we have stayed.

Works well for our needs
The hotel works great for our purposes. I do wish that the room would be aired out before arrival since it is a bit off-putting when you walk into a musty smelling room. This was cleared up by running the air conditioner but it would be much more pleasant to arrive to a clean smelling room. That is my only true complaint about this hotel.

Good value. Clean and served our purpose. The door lock was a little hard to work with a cracked door jamb. Room was clean. Nice refrigerator and new carpet

The motel was the closest, most affordable option to the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington. When I turned the wall AC on, the smell was horrible. It took about an hour before the smell of musty dish rags dissipated. The carpet was literally so sticky that my tennis shoes made noise with every step.

Get whst you pay for
Room was OK, likely more recently painted. Carpet was newer also but sticky with bare feet so needed shampooing. Furniture was older. What they called "deluxe breakfast" was horrible. Two hard very stale donuts and a couple tiny stale muffins. Cream cheese in frig but nothing to put it in. Orange juice from machine was brown so we were afraid to drink it. Ignore the so called breakfast and plan on needing to eat elsewhere. No bathroom amenities other than hand soap. Few plugs for charging gear and one had to crawl on hands and knees to get to them. On the positive side, room was good sized and hot water quickly hot, though the water saver shower head was so constricted it took time to rinse soap off. AC unit worked OK though the thermostat control was finicky. The room rate was less than others in the area. The amenities, or lack thereof, was a result. So as long as you understand you get what you pay for and that their breakfast is useless and choose to be satisfied because of the lower price, you will be OK.

Just what I needed. Staff was friendly at check in. The room was nice, clean and cool. Nothing to complain about. Bed was comfortable. Adequate amenities. Only thing I noticed was in my particular room the ceiling needed paint and a USB outlet or two installed. Other than that it was a good stay and I’ll stay again.

Basic motel, super staff!
No frills hotel. Fairly comfy bed, nice bathroom. Carpet seemed damp, but we were also there during a week of high temps and EXTREMELY humid conditions - not sure if that had something to do with it or not? Staff was very nice, super helpful, and very accommodating. Restaurants within walking distance. Starbucks, McDonald’s, Kroger, etc… just down the street. About 10-12 mins to WEC.

Good value for price. Not the Ritz, but clean, plus bed & sheets were cozy. Two sinks plus fridge & microwave were handy. Great location, especially if travelling with kids. Superb playground & splashpad seconds away, nearby shopping options (5 or so mins away). Close to public library. Quiet and no sleazy people loitering. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Rude management. Advertised as pet friendly, and confirmed my reservation with a pet. Get to the front desk and there’s “no pets allowed” signs. They ALLOW ME to stay. But then watch/followed me around while walking my dog and the “manager” lived next door kept banging on the walls then complaining my dog was barking

It was a very reasonable price and also nice and quiet. It's in a good area with lots of dining options. The furniture was very old with the fabric on a stool being very stained. The breakfast buffet had 2 donuts, a couple of bagels, and some cold cereal. We opted to go next door to Bob Evans.

Overall nice hotel for the price. Could stand to use a carpet cleaner as the floors felt slightly damp/sticky. The”full” continental breakfast left a bit to be desired as they only had a few items and the donuts were like rocks. They did have oatmeal and some packaged pastries that were fresh.
