"It’s a typical nice American hotel with comfortable bedding and bathroom. The shower is the best among those of hotels I have stayed in recent years. It’s very convenient to walk or take subway to the city center of Chunxi road and Taiguli. There are also tons of restaurants in various kinds of eateries surround the hotel area. Hotel services are top notch. Service personnel and the manager are very nice and helpful. I stored my luggage in the hotel on the day of checking out for the night flight. I used the bathroom on the lobby floor like I were in my hotel room to prepare for leaving. It was a wonderful experience in staying in the hotel. I would give it all 5 stars and surely recommend to friends and anyone else."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Chengdu

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Chengdu is during January, February, and September, when hotel prices are lower. For a comprehensive exploration of the city's key landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This timeframe allows you to enjoy budget-friendly options such as temples, museums, natural parks, and monuments, making it great value for money. Additionally, during these months, prices may drop further, enhancing the overall experience for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals for hotels in Chengdu, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, potentially ensuring you secure the best prices. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to book a budget-friendly stay.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may enable you to save on your stay in a Chengdu hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we will suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to potentially secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Chengdu's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
