Room: nice room, good size, plus for fridge, the bed could be better, mostly quiet, but you could hear nabour-doors slam pretty good. New hotel.
Location: ok. Hotels still had the other Hilton hotels location for this one, so I booked a hotel I didn't know existed.

We spent two nights at the Hampton by Hilton in Dresden as a family — my wife, our 17-month-old baby, and myself — and had a wonderful stay.
It all started with a warm and friendly welcome at the front desk. Every member of the staff we interacted with was exceptionally helpful and attentive — truly service-oriented.
The location is excellent, close to all the main attractions, yet the hotel remains very quiet and peaceful. Our baby slept soundly through the night without being disturbed, which says a lot about the calm environment.
A big thank you to the entire Hampton team for your great service and hospitality. We’ll definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Dresden!

Bright foyer is welcoming. Staff very helpful in a friendly relaxed manner. I was very happy with my room. Great shower.
Bar disappointing . Small choice.
Walking distance to alt Markt and all the sights.

Small double bed (only 140cm), very soft saggy mattres that gave me a back pain and I couldnt sleep during the night. Also we requested a baby cot and we got a bad without a mattres (only a hard bottom) - when we asked for one, we were told that it is all they have. So baby have to sleep on a hard bottom and adults get too soft one?
Eggs on breakfast are made from powder and tastedd horrible!

Totally new hotel - really many people at breakfast but staff managed well to fill up quickly. Only the waffle maker was removed second day I was there due to very long queue. But maybe it will come back in more quiet times?

This hotel is conveniently located near the Altmarket and a tram stop. It is a new hotel, with some construction occurring in one side. Ask for a room on the quiet side.
The fitness center and breakfast were both excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The map on the website may be pointing to the "Hilton Dresden." The Hampton Hotel is located near the Dresden City Hall, not the Frauenkirche. The Frauenkirche is about a 5-minute walk away. I mistakenly booked the hotel as being near the Frauenkirche.
On the day of check-in, I realized that the Hilton Dresden and the Hampton were different hotels, and that the Hampton was not near the Frauenkirche, but the difference in location didn't really matter.
After checking in, when I entered the room, the windows were open and insects had gotten in. Also, when I looked at the beds, there were several hairs on the bedding. On both beds. If it was just a few hairs, I thought I could just clean them up myself and use them as they were, but there was a lot of hair on both beds, which was very disgusting.
I asked the front desk to change the bedding, and they did, but there was still some hair in the new room, which was really creepy. Does this hotel not wash their bedding? If so, I think they should reconsider their laundry facilities.
As someone mentioned in a review, there was an ammonia smell coming from the bathroom. I wasn't expecting a cleaning, but there was limescale in the drains. Although check-out time was 12 noon, staff tried to enter the room just after 10am.
The building is new, as it is still under construction, but that's about it.
If I ever come to Dresden again, I will never stay at this hotel because I don't trust the service.
