The Topside Inn was the perfect place for our stay in Boothbay Harbor. The Carraige House room was very nice and the bed and bedding was amazing! The views of the harbor are spectacular, especially in the quiet of the early
morning. However, the star of the show was the incredible breakfast we had each morning! I highly recommend this Inn to anyone traveling to the Boothbay region.

As per its name, the hilltop overlooks a classic New England bay with small boats at anchor. And the property takes full advantage of it with lots of porch and lawn seating. It's a lovely place with a lovely vibe and excellent breakfast.

Highly recommend. Lovely room w comfortable chaises out front, gourmet breakfast, complimentary cocktail and snacks at 4...couldn't be better! Staff were genuinely friendly and Boothbay harbor and town are right at your feet.

We stayed at Topside for one evening on our way down thru Maine. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it, starting with our welcome greeting from the lovely Rebekah, welcome cocktail, view of the harbor, 3 minute walk to town, lovely rooms, happy hour snacks, easy to meet neighbors….. I will be making many trips back to Boothbay just to stay here again!!!

Topside Inn had an amazing view of the harbor while sitting in the Adirondack chairs. The bar set up was terrific with their free welcome drink. Food service was excellent and the blankets outside on the balcony was a great touch. Would come back for an extended stay. Highly recommended.

Conveniently located up out of the business of downtown with great views of the bay, lots of outdoor seating, snacks and drinks included as well as breakfast. Plenty of tea and coffee and a friendly staff. A real gem!

Had a great stay, beautiful views. Property was unique, there is a lot of attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Walk out your door right to the shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Peaceful joyful place
This hotel was a great joy. The room was clean and bright with windows and doors and balcony to look over flower beds and chickens to the harbor beyond. Drinks and snacks were readily available and delicious. The staff were warm and helpful, breakfast excellent, seating areas and open air feel relaxing and inviting. My only regret was that I had to go home!

This is a great property with friendly, attentive staff. The walk downhill to town and the harbor is short and the view from our room was awesome! Breakfast was delicious and included multiple choices. The only caveat would be for those with limited mobility because there is no elevator to reach the rooms upstairs. For those people I would suggest ground floor.

The property is beautiful, the rooms very clean and comfortable. The sheets are amazing! The only complaint would be there is no view from the 2 separate buildings although they are stated to have bay views. There are large trees blocking any view at all. On the plus side the porch on the main inn is lovely with views and the grounds are beautiful with mature florals everywhere. The breakfast was delicious.

We loved the location, very pretty main house, great staff & great breakfast. Was requested to move from main house to unattached building with outside balcony, which was sold as an upgrade & sounded good but ended up being very noisy due to units above. Side wall insulation seemed to work well but every step above us was clearly heard. We did enjoy the outdoor balcony but wouldn’t stay on bottom floor of the separate buildings again. Cant say how rooms inside main house would have been.

We stayed three nights on our 8 days in Maine and they were by far the best three nights and mornings of our vacation. The rooms are immaculate, with comfortable beds (so great I bought the sheets), beautiful views, and everything you could need. You arrive to a welcome drink that was simply delicious, and a full bar that is paired with appetizers at 4:30 pm each day. Breakfasts are from the Topside Inn Cookbook, which I obviously now needed, bc each day exceeded our expectations. There are fresh cookies every day available to guests plus a fully stocked seltzer, juice, water, soda fridge, coffee and tea all day. Both Rebecca and Mary were magnificent and such a pleasure. We loved this place so much we are sending our parents to experience this 5 star inn. Could not have loved a place more.
