Best deal in TC! A seemingly brand-new hotel, The Vic was very clean with modern decor. Self Check-in was a breeze. Rooms are spacious (we had the King Suite) and the bed is to die for! We will definitely book here again (or maybe splurge for the Kasa Boardwalk downtown. We did some recon on that while there and it looked Amazing! Right across the street from the Thirsty Fish and a block from Front st!)

Staff went out of the way to take care of me. Meranda that works front desk and other things is a kind and care young lady.cleaning lady as well. This is a basic "no frills" hotel, which is all we were looking for in this stay. Minimal staff, but available if needed. No trouble getting checked in, etc. Parking on site. Suggest requesting back rooms (not facing main road.) We had no issues with traffic noise with a room facing to the back. Comfortable bed. Plenty of soft white towels. Two suggestions - didn't care for the "steeped coffee" in the room. Also, please change toilet seats to a covered seat and remove the hardwater rust stain in the toilet (Unappealing first look at the bathroom!) We would stay here again for an overnight when we aren't going to spend much time at the hotel anyway. Good value!

This hotel has a lot of potential. The recent remodel is beautiful with a modern, minimalist design, fresh paint, updated lighting, and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve slept on. I appreciated the option to text for assistance. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the appearance. The parking lot is EXTREMELY tight, especially if you have a larger vehicle. Our room looked clean at first, but after showering we realized the textured floor was actually mud spots. The toilet barely flushed, the handle had to be lifted after every use, and the bathroom doorstop was stuck to the door and had an exposed nail that could easily poke someone, especially a child. The A/C made loud knocking noises all night. There was no staff, no one behind the lobby desk except for snoopy guests. Families should know the sink is outside the bathroom, making it easy to wake someone sleeping, and it’s mounted too high for young children. Although pet-friendly, there are very few grassy areas. Communication felt impersonal. We received a message telling us to move a moving truck we didn’t own, then were told it had been sent to everyone. After checking out through the app, I still received instructions to lock patio and balcony doors... even though this hotel has neither. Overall, the remodel and amazing bed weren’t enough to outweigh the maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues. Fine for a quick stay, but I’d look elsewhere if traveling with kids

Highly recommend if you are looking for a no-frills nice and modern hotel that is close to the beach, dining, shopping, and recreation. There's a very nice lounge/gathering area inside with a fireplace. Our only complaint is that the AC system was loud.

The property owner was receptive to our suggestions and we appreciated that. The laundry facilities were not hooked up and we had to seek offsite laundry facilities. The parking was convenient and the lobby was clean. The cleaning staff seemed surly and we had to inquire about basics despite booking a five night stay.
