Grand Hotel De Djokja
"Fantastic hotel in a great location - staff are wonderful"
Melia Purosani Yogyakarta
"This was a great place to stay for my trip to Yogyakarta. It's walking distance to the Maliobro shopping area, and pretty central if you plan to see Borobudur and Prambanan."

"Excellent location"
Swiss-Belboutique Yogyakarta
"Good breakfast with many choices"
Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro
"Everything was 10/10 except the breakfast wasn't to my tastes. I can't mark them down for that though"
ibis Styles Yogyakarta
"The rooftop pool was a welcome addition and a little oasis after touring the city. The beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful."
Greenhost Boutique Hotel
"Amazing unique hotel with nice pool, nice restaurant, and big clean rooms with good showers."
Kimaya Sudirman Yogyakarta by Harris
"This is a good hotel. The staff is very helpful, breakfast delicious with incredible selection and the rooms comfortable. My only complaint: the bar is terribly overpriced. We learned that our first night. Later nights we noticed that no one is there. (Hint: walk 3 blocks to Ar+otek --- their bar & restaurant are much more reasonable with local live music many nights)."
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta
"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff. Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits. Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel. Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too. Would go back if I was in Yogya"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Yogyakarta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Yogyakarta is during February, March, and September, when hotel prices are likely to be lower. For those looking to delve into the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows for ample exploration of significant landmarks, such as ancient temples, museums, and monuments, as well as opportunities to experience local dances and archaeological sites. Visiting during these months offers great value for money, making it easier for travellers on a budget to enjoy Yogyakarta's cultural treasures.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover hotel deals for Yogyakarta, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and last-minute promotions, increasing your chances of finding great hotel deals. The Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re equipped to make the best choice. Should prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know, making it easier to secure a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Yogyakarta hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you discover a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but with Yogyakarta's fantastic public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further afield that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
