Location excellent, cosy room perfectly fine and small bathroom completely adequate for a 1-2 night stay. Clean, tidy all good. Staff a little on the slow side, left hand not really joined up with the right, other than that, a pretty good stay.

The check in was easy, they even stored my suitcase for a few hours when I arrived early. The room was so very nice with a great view of the harbour. The dinner and breakfast I had at the restaurant were delicious. Best location in town. Beautiful place to visit.

Good points: Quaint room and decor befitting the fishing village vibe. Stunning view over the sea and harbour. Room clean and bathroom modern. Good cooked breakfast (although covered in pepper without asking) Not so good points: WiFi not working 99% of the time, even during the night when everyone else was asleep - needs fixing as very little mobile signal in the area. No table check at breakfast to report any issues. Bar prices and food not cheap, but this is in line with the area, shop up the road was charging £10 for a sandwich! Overall a very pleasant base to explore the area from, but difficult to stay connected to the outside world if you need to.

From start to finish we had a great stay at the Slipway. Room 11 is wonderfully quirky with a lovely outlook over the port. Spotlessly clean and tidy, we couldn’t fault anything and all the staff were brilliant so well done to all! We intend staying again soon. Parking is a 10 minute walk but not a long way to go and £11 a day or £29 a week

Loved our stay .. On our arrival we was greeted by very friendly staff and was shown to our room .our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed .the view from our window was superb looking out to the sea .very comfortable and cosy ,the breakfast was superb with plenty to choose from. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Lovely clean room with balcony looking out towards port Isaac. My husband had the full Cornish breakfast which was huge plenty of variety. Staff so friendly couldn't do enough for you. Only problem is have is that I can't return with my little dog as the rooms are not pet friendly which is a shame

Went for a relaxing break in Port Isaac and stayed here in room 5 which had a lovely view of the slipway. Room not very spacious and with only one chair which meant one of us had to sit on the bed but not too much of a problem. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The toilet was practically touching the ensuite door so a visit in the dark in the middle of the night left me with a head injury when I closed the door and went to sit down! I think they heard the bang it made in Newquay. This is a very old pub with lots of original quirky features so if flat walls and modern surroundings is normally your thing this may not be for you. Food from the menu ok, very little choice which would make me choose somewhere else to eat if we went back. I also received the wrong order which had to go back but the breakfast was great!. Tip - Park your car in the carpark on New Road if you can. The walk to the slipway is down a coastal path and will take you around 8 mins on foot. It gives you the option of one or two days and then jumps to a week. If you are staying more than 2 Nights choose the week as it's only a little more than the price of 2 days and cheaper than updating as you go!

We were on the top floor which has low ceilings. Warnings are well marked so it wasn't a problem. We loved the room and the views. Breakfast was very good.
