I would not recommend this property, especially for tourists or families. The location is extremely isolated it sits on top of a very high cliff, and once you’re in the area there are no taxis or easy transport options. If you’re travelling with children, it’s particularly inconvenient.
There are only two small supermarkets nearby, neither of which accept card payments, and there are no ATMs in the vicinity the nearest one is over 20 minutes away. While the local residents were friendly and helpful, the experience with the hosts was very disappointing.
They requested a £100 holding deposit, which has still not been returned despite multiple messages and excuses. They even claimed to have sent it when they hadn’t. This behaviour feels dishonest and unprofessional.
Check-in was also a nightmare. I travelled with three children (one of whom is autistic), and it took us over three hours to find the property. There was no local Albanian number to contact for help, which made the situation incredibly stressful.
Although the property itself was nice, it was simply not worth the hassle, stress, and dishonesty over the deposit. I’ve now had to escalate this issue through Hotels.com.
