Wonderful stay at the Light Hotel. We enjoyed using the pool and the gym. The staff were very attentive. The location was close to other places to eat - we would recommend Jom Banana Leaf directly opposite the hotel. Exceptional breakfast too! We will definitely return.

Staff were always friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. Everything is brand new and lovely. Rooms are elegant and spacious with an excellent shower. Great location for walking to Little India, Little China, the heritage area, jetties, street art, and many eateries of all kinds. Beautiful rooftop infinity pool with towels and shower.

The hotel is a tranquil oasis in busy George Town. The building is elegant and the interior of the hotel is tastefully styled. Overall it was very comfortable for our 5 night stay. Best of all is the team of staff who attended us through our stay. They are very friendly, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: clean room , comfortable bed, selection of pillows if needed, close to eating places around Georgetown Cons: carpark leading to lobby only by stairs so difficult for guests with big luggage and elderly folks to climb 2 flight of stairs. Guests need to drop off big luggage and elderly folks at the lobby reception before heading to carpark - long queue to check in due to 3 staffs working - no instructions on how to use room phone as the direct button for ‘housekeeping’ isn’t working. -...

We had a wonderful stay in the Rasa Wing for 5 nights in May 2026. The suite was spacious with a balcony overlooking the gardens/sea. The hotel is spotless and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was my husband's birthday and they sent a delicious chocolate cake to the room and decorated our room with towel origami which was a delight. Wonderful stay here, a real gem in the middle of Georgetown. Everything is within walking distances and the hotel is well located. Breakfast was great. Room was comfortable with a lovely bathroom area. Would recommend to all.

Very relaxing beach/pool holiday hotel. Lovely spacious rooms. Got for the Deluxe Room if you can. Huge big bed and you look directly out to sea quite magnificent.

Great room, excellent location for walking.

Very high standard, but location slightly outside the centre means relying on car transport to a higher degree.

Clean, comfortable and spacious too. Staff were attentive and pleasant. The Nasi Kandar, Deen Maju which is just a few doors away is really good but always crowded. With the hotel card, you need not queue up. Just take note that the restaurant staff are not so friendly. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
