18 Oct 2026I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Schani City. I didn’t try the breakfast, but overall, I found the hotel very comfortable and more than satisfactory. The location was great. The metro station was about a 5-minute walk away at a relaxed pace, and the city centre was around a 15–20-minute walk.
As a solo traveller, feeling safe and comfortable was important to me, and this hotel met my expectations. The reception staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful, even though I checked in late.
Thank you for everything. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Vienna!

31 May 2026Our stay was really nice, the rooms were very updated and clean. The staff downstairs were really nice and friendly too. The location is just a 10 minute walk from the centre so a really good distance.

25 May 2026The check-in was annoying since we had to basically provide all of the same information that I previously provided for my booking, including birth date and passport information. It was required to be done on an iPad while an employee did other things. The phone number field didn't work properly - accept my location - so a senior employee helped smooth things along.
The room was great, comfy bed, nice amenities (we were only there one night). The AC wall unit was on warm/22 degrees, and after finding the brand online, I walked myself through the process of changing it to air conditioning, but the front desk had to authorise it remotely and again when we left for dinner and returned. So there was a lot of back and forth with the staff; they even came up to help me through the system, which is when we learned about remote start. So they were helpful, but the system didn't perform as they described.

1st, NO, tea/coffee facility in the room☹️ after a long journey, being able to sit down in your room relaxing with a tea/coffee, is pretty much standard facility in hotels, but missing here.
2nd, every morning around 7am the maintenance guys would decide to discuss/argue their work schedule in the garden outside the windows, because the garden areas are like little sound alleys, their booming voices would wake us up, so have a word with your guys and ask them to have some common sense please!

19 May 2026Our visit was great except for one experience that left me shaken. The evening before I left around 5:30 pm I was laying in bed resting and a man opened the door to my room. He was the same man who had checked us in upon arrival. I jumped from bed and ran to the door asking him what he wanted. He looked surprised and said are you ok ? I said yes and he said ok and left. The next day during my check out I mentioned this to the young lady checking us out. She didn’t have an explanation. I was very confused and upset because there was no explanation or reason why this had happened. She said they would look into this. I wasn’t happy with the

- New and clean
- Free locker for luggage storage
BAD:
- Poor design that toilet and washing basin are on opposite ends of bedroom
- No mini fridge
- Only one small rubbish bin in toilet
- Window binders do not work- even after fixing, there is always one binder that didn’t go up or down. It could be left hand side today and right hand side tomorrow.
- Small sink makes it difficult to wash face without bumping to the faucet or spilling water everywhere
- 1 pair of slipper for a triple room
- 2 small bottles of water for 3 guests. When we asked for more, we had the choice of tap water for free or 1 more bottle for €7.
WORST:
- Hotel system has been hacked with data leaks. We received WhatsApp message requesting for online check in to get electronic keys to our room. This saves time, but immediately after we did the check in we got messages requesting verification of our credit card for the booking. Given the second message arrived immediately after the first one, we complied though with doubts. Long story short, the e-check in is not safe, we have been charged hundreds of €, hotel front desk didn’t care and didn’t try to understand.
- Either the cleaning team or the guy who came to fix the binder left our hotel room door unlocked and with a small open gap. We were shocked to see that we could push the door open without unlocking it.
All in all, horrible experience and will not return.

29 Oct 2026Enjoyed our time. Hotel was located a bit outside the main part of the city, but is an easy enough walk. Had a triple room that only had a curtain between the bedroom and the shower, but a door behind the curtain for the bathroom.

O quarto quádruplo era bem estruturado, com a pia, o chuveiro e o vaso sanitário ficando em ambientes diferentes o que facilita a utilização ao mesmo tempo. A localização era boa, perto das principais atrações de Viena. O check-in é todo on line o que torna o processo um pouco impessoal. Não tomamos café da manhã no hotel, pois achamos caro. No geral, a experiência foi positiva.

14 Jul 2026Fenster gehen nicht zu öffnen, ich bin ein Frischluftfan....kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer, kein Wasserkocher im Zimmer, dieser wurde aber nach Rückfrage ins Zimmer gestellt! Allerdings sehr ruhig, gute Betten!
Das Waschbecken war ziemlich niedrig angebracht, sowie auch recht klein (rundum alles nass)....gute Idee mit der Gepäckaufbewahrung!!!
