31 Aug 2026We arrived late and tired at the Wills Hotel. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us to our room and get set up for the evening. The next morning, staff were equally helpful with arranging for some extras that we requested. The room was pleasant and everything worked well. We would definitely stay here again.

23 Jun 2026Top class hotel in the heart of Cumberland. They have a dedicated room for bicycle storage for guests who are riding the C&O towpath trail or the GAP trail. Even though it is downtown they have ample free parking in a nearby parking garage. Wonderful restaurant and bar as well.

27 Jun 2026The place was absolutely brand new when we stayed in summer 2026. Still getting trim put in and some paint work done. We got a suite which had a nicely finished large bathroom. The room had a kitchenette sized sink and a decent fridge but no microwave which felt like it was just not installed yet into the shelving. Compared to the renders, the lighting in the room was brighter and cooler. I think the bulbs in the bedside fixtures should be way dimmer and warmer in temp.
The bike storage room is fantastic and it is very well thought out with the ice and filtered water bottle fill right outside it. Looks like there are laundry hookups in the bike room. I didn't ask about laundry on this stay but it seems like one of the things they are working on as they are open for longer.
Know before you go- parking. I suggest if you are driving here that you park on Liberty St on the side of the hotel in a loading spot for check in. The garage for the hotel is about a block away. The hotel is located in an extremely pedestrian and bike friendly part of town so we did not need much garage access anyway.
The restaurant downstairs was great. Breakfast was fine. We will be back, highly recommend this place!

25 Aug 2026Hotel was only opened 10 weeks prior so still ironing out the kinks i feel. Lively bar and restaurant for dinner with good food. Weak point was the breakfast which was cold help yourself items on the bar with limited choice. For the boutique style of the place this needs to be improved.

30 Jun 2026Cumberland is my father's hometown. It always brings me joy when I return. I was thrilled to see all of the work they have put into the downtown area. All the cute shops added to the experience. While I didn't get to do much exploring, we will be back in the near future!

28 Jun 2026I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of this beautiful new hotel. Returning to my hometown for a Celebration of Life, it felt like discovering a hidden gem in the heart of the historic downtown district. Once checked in, everything was within easy walking distance, making the location incredibly convenient.
The staff made the experience especially enjoyable. The front desk team was warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to work with throughout my stay. The bar service was outstanding, and the food exceeded my expectations.
The only challenge was navigating the parking process. I had expected on-site parking, but unloading luggage, checking in, locating the designated parking area, and then repeating the process at checkout required a bit of planning. A more convenient loading and unloading area or clearer parking instructions would greatly enhance the guest experience.
One additional suggestion would be to offer decaffeinated coffee and expand the complimentary breakfast selection beyond fruit and regular coffee. While these are relatively minor improvements, they would add even more value for guests.
Overall, these were small inconveniences and did not detract from an otherwise wonderful stay. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The rooms are exceptionally full of character with a warm modernist design. The hotel has a restaurant/ bar and a continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again . Super comfortable, nice and cool air conditioned space , modern lobby and walking distance to everything .
