Our favourite stay during our fortnight in Namibia. Helped to break up the long journey between Sosslvei and Swakomund. Great service, delicious food, beautiful remote setting and good size pool. Very special and unique place, would love to return for longer

One of the best !
3rd visit and we never get tired of it. The views, peacefulness are extraordinary. The staff is also exceptionally helpful, friendly and patient. We also had amazing springbok from thr menu.

Beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by nature. Perfect to relax and enjoy the tranquility at the pool with a GT or two. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. The view from our deck was amazing and perfect for stargazing.

Rostock Ritz is just perfect. Miles from anywhere with stunning views over the desert. The rooms are gorgeous, no air con but fans and breeze help to cool it down. The pool is perfect, super clean and offers the same stunning views. We enjoyed an amazing steak dinner and a great breakfast. From our room we watched Zebra and other wildlife.

Great location & nice hiking trails, but a bit austere for the price. Rooms are dark and ours had no hot water and a couple of wolf spiders we could really have done without!

Wir waren rundum zufrieden! Toller Poolbereich, traumhafte Ausblicke. Ein Teil unserer Gruppe hat gecampt (7 km entfernter Platz). Essen und Service perfekt. Wir waren im Dezember eine Nacht dort und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Eine ganz tolle Zeit
Ein Highlight, Gastgeber wie auch Personal. Die Lage ist schon ausgesprochen schön, doch übertroffen wird es noch dadurch, dass man sie auf unkomplizierte Weise dank Einrichtung von Wanderwegen noch viel mehr erfahren kann. Nachmittags bei leckerem Drink mit Pool zum Abend übergehen mit tollem Essen mit a la carte rundet den Tag perfekt ab. Wer gerne wandert, sollte unbedingt wenigstens 2 Nächte bleiben; uns waren 3 noch zu wenig. Vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt.

Pousada familiar alemã, com boa comida (cara) no meio do deserto. Linda vista com órix passando ao fundo. A piscina também é excelente. Pena que o quarto seja muito rústico, lunar. Ducha básica. Não tem nenhum luxo no quarto. E sem ar-condicionado. Não é 4 estrelas.

Die Lodge Rostock Ritz ist in der Tat etwas ganz außergewöhnliches. Sie liegt mitten in der Namib-Wüste an einem kleinen Berghang gelegen. Die Chalets sehen aus, als wenn sie aus einem Starwars-Film entsprungen wären. Auch Rezeption und Restaurant sind in diesem Stil gehalten.
Der Pool gilt als der schönste in Namibia. Vom Pool schaut man in die Weite der Wüste. Vor uns tummelten sich 3 Zebras und eine Gruppe Strauße. Man fragt sich was diese Tiere in der Wüste noch an Futter finden.
Der Sundowner auf der Terasse vom Restaurant und das Abendessen waren echt super.
Die Besitzer waren auch sehr bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten.
Die Chalets an sich sind schon ein wenig eng, insbesondere für große Personen. Aber es war absolut ausreichend. Man muss nur vor dem Abendessen alle Fenster öffnen und für Durchzug sorgen, ansonsten wird es eine heiße Nacht.

Die Unterkunft ist mit gut zu bewerten. Leider fehlt ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer und das Wasser im Pool ist sehr kalt, was man mit wenigen Handgriffen umweltschonend umsetzen kann.

Acceuil et ambiance un peut lourde dans cette hotel, très chaud dans les chambres et la salle de diner
