We stopped off for a night on the way back from Devon. The room was lovely, the Mexican restaurant was delicious but the biggest selling point is the wonderful staff. All of them were so helpful and friendly but especially the lovely lady with the chilli earrings on reception. We would definitely visit again.

12 Jul 2026Lovely helpful staff gave me a cool ground floor room in a heatwave with a fan as no air conditioning as it's an old traditional property. . Breakfast was good and I had smashed avocado and bacon on sourdough toast. Nice to see fresh fruit salad too. Can't comment on the evening meal as we went to the Italian a short walk away in the village

6 Jun 2026This hotel was really competitively priced so it was a no brainer. However we didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was. The grounds around the hotel are lovely, the planting of roses everywhere was very dramatic. Our four poster bedroom was very comfortable. The floorboards are very creaky but that’s a small price to pay. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant chilli’s, and I couldn’t recommend this enough, the Mexican evening meal was exceptional. Would return in a heartbeat!

28 Mar 2026This is a basic facility hotel, which in fairness offers reasonable value for money. Rooms are small and noise disturbance from adjoining rooms is a problem.
Bed was comfortable but room cleaning needs better attention. Food was good and this is a nice venue for a function.
