Fantastic location
The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms are comfortable, although this is a large hotel it was very peaceful even at meal times. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would fully recommend. Excellent value for money. We hope to visit again soon.

Great location!
What a great quiet place to stay, away from everything, beautiful, peaceful and nice. Rooms were small but we only needed the room for sleeping so it was not a problem. Showers were great, place was clean. Loved the local surrounding area!

UK family in Passy
Great location, but let down by the internal fittings. The shower in our room was lethal with one of our group slipping in the shower causing injury.

Nice hotel in adventurous location
Came to Chamonix to ski at Mont Blanc and stayed at le Fontenay. Had a lovely stay but visitors should be warned that the hotel is at the top of a mountain, with steep winding roads (often without guardrails) in a region that gets heavy snow all the time. Visitors should not attempt to go without good snow tires and chains.

Great experience
To be honest i expected less for a 2 star hotel but we found a family friendly hotel with great staff , clean rooms, very large parking, daily cooked food at reasonable prices the only issue i had was the shower cabin 600x600 that was to small for me, the hotel is located 3 min drive from the ski slopes at Plaine Joux and less then 30 min drive from St Gervais and Chamonix ski resorts and beautiful town of Megeve.

Isolated but extraordinarily welcoming
Looks like a prison, feeds you well very cheaply and the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Secluded hotel in the mountains
Room was pretty small but functional. It didn't cost us a fortune to stay within 10 kms from Chamonix, where the similar accommodation would be 5 times more expensive. Both our GPS had problem locating the place using the address but gave good directions if chosen from POI list. You need a car to get there. Great view of the valley if the weather is clear. Accommodation very basic but everything worked well. The only negative thing I can mention - dirty floor in the room, the soles became black momentarily.

Excellent service and value, beauriful location
Hotel itself is a bit old fashioned and in need of some modernisation, but as a place to stay for a few nights has a nice quiet location with wonderful mountain views. Service of the staff was fantastic. Rooms are fairly basic but do the job and I don't think you can expect much more for the price

Overnight stop
Large older place. We ended up booking a Studio because ordinary rooms supposedly full but place empty when we arrived and approx 6 vehicles in carpark night we stayed. Sort of place that needs people to bring it alive particularly given the size of the place.

Good location. Decent place.
remote location, away from the noise and gorgeous views. Make sure you know how to get to the location or research it on the Sat Nav. Our nav took us to a different location and we had to then spend time looking for the correct destination. It's not fun in late evening in with no assistance around as it's a remote location. The hotel's got a well worn look and could do with a makeover but for the price paid, there's no complaints. The room included a tiny kitchenette and was spacious. Tiny bathrooms.

It is not a Hotel, it is a residence.
We were allocated an apartment, one room with double bed, one bunk bed in the kitchen and sitting room with TV. The Bathroom was small with very tight shower, difficult to get in and out. The room was facing the mountains, thus we enjoyed great view and natural beauty. The Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, no shops, restaurants or any recreational place near by. The nearest place for shopping or eating was Passy Town. Up the mountain there was the launching place for paragliding. If you love solitude, this is the best place to be. In the first week of June there were not many residents, thus the place was deserted. I loved it.
