Great rate for Key West. Bar on property. We actually had the room attached to the bar. We sleep with a sound machine & didn't hear a thing. Pool had lots of leaves in the filter. Room was basic, but you don't need much more in Key West. Bed very comfortable.

A gem in the Keys!
The moment I stepped into the Southwinds Motel, it felt like it was going to be a great place to be in Key West. I was greeted by a nice gentleman called Carlos, he was so helpful and gave me some great tips! The room was not on the big side, but was clean & all we needed. On site free laundry, ice cream van & so close to all the places we wanted to see. To top things off the evening's we had at the Tipsey roster were relaxed with great music & a great choice served by the delightful Alice. Highly recommend & will be back ourselves in the near future 😎

Enjoyed our stay
The motel is older but well maintained. Clean room and changed bedding and towels every 3 days. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Liked staying in old town close to the beach. Free bus that circles Duval St just steps from hotel.

Great stay - small room
This was a great little motel, just one street over from Duval Street ( which is the Main Street in Key West). It was a small room, but just perfect for us just to sleep in. We spent most of our time exploring Key West. Found out from one of the tours that this was the first motel in Key West. But they have kept it up well.

I called ahead to see if we could have an earlier check in and whomever I spoke to was definitely not helpful. The room was clean and the beds/bedding were great. This is very conveniently located, has parking and is very affordable for Key West. bathroom is a little on the small side and you have to be patient with the hot water. breakfast. Is continental/basic, but it’s a good start to the day. We felt safe, and overall it was quiet, although the adjoining bar was a little noisy at night. The staff we came in contact with once we were there were very helpful. I would stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was very social with the bar yet quiet when we went to sleep. They had free breakfast which was convenient. The ice cream truck was also super appreciated. I felt like the price was reasonable for Key West. The staff was super friendly. I only took off one star because we had sugar ants in the kitchen. We will stay here again.
