This is a lovely little spot. If you’re looking for a lot of action you probably wouldn’t like it. If you want a nice quiet place to relax this is the spot. The restaurant is very good and reasonable prices. They were open for dinner only. We found a great spot for lunch about 10 miles away in Beckley- The Dish. Excellent food and service. We chose to come to the area to go to the national park. It’s a little less than an hour away but worth the trip. Enjoy the view of the lake in back.

The staff was amazing and made my stay way better than expected. The attached restaurant and bar served cold beer and a superb cheesesteak, perfect after a long motorcycle ride. I prefer staying at smaller places like this and for the price you can’t beat it for a nights stay when traveling. I just wish we would have made it before the restaurant closed for the night! Had a great meal the last time through. Not my 1st time here, and this time I had one of the updated rooms. Just wish they accepted pets.

The room was very clean. Like Tony Soprano preparing for the FBI type of clean. The food and drinks in the pub were AMAZING. 10/10 the shrimp and grits were to die for. Our waitress was adorable. The bed was so comfy, lots of pillows. Good water pressure and hot water. The front desk girl was helpful and friendly. We definitely intend on returning.
