Nice quiet area. Great people that run the place. Very informative of the surrounding area. Elk came walking right through the property. Would definitely stay there again.

10/10 Excellent

Nice and quiet and it's right on the river. The deck right outside the door overlooks the river so if you leave the door cracked you can hear it all night it's great. The rest of the restaurant within walking distance and a trolley that can take you into Estes Park and back for free. This is great for budget-friendly people because the prices are awesome as well. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. It is also very close to the Rocky mountain national Park entrance. Five stars all the way I would give more if I could and I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the beautiful Ponderosa Room with a private hot tub and wood burning stove. Everything you need is there - sink, mini fridge, stove. Staff was great and Estes Park is a great town to visit.

Very quiet property and the check in process was very nice. Early text service telling us our room was ready early was wonderful. The Christmas lights hung on the deck railing stayed on all night. Normally would not be a problem but with no a/c we needed to sleep with the back door open causing our room to light up like Christmas.

We felt at home the moment we arrived and were greeted by Darryl who was so friendly and welcoming. He told us all about the property and local area and we were welcomed with lovely homemade cookies. Our room was excellent and the balcony allowing you to relax over the river was perfect. The hot tub and communal facilities were fantastic. Many local bars and restaurants were within walking distance and the location was the perfect option for our trip to explore RMNP. Everything about the stay was perfect and we would not hesitate to return. Perfect.

10/10 Excellent

Absolutely loved my stay at Ponderosa, the cabin was cosy and decorated in a moose/bear theme which was very fitting for the area. The office team gave great recommendations on Rocky Mountain NP and advice on how to handle inclement weather. As well as being incredibly helpful in general during my stay. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

The property location is amazing. We love the patio/balcony with the hammock. Other room amenities are good as well. Love the key lock mechanism.

10/10 Excellent

This property was beautiful! It is tucked away and has a nice rustic cabin feel. The rooms are very nice. We stayed in a double queen room and there was plenty of space. The back door leads to a patio that overlooks the river and it is so beautiful! It was super easy to check in and out and the staff was very helpful with any questions we had. This location is also very close to several hikes and food spots in downtown Estes Park so it is super convenient! Overall a really great stay at Ponderosa Lodge!

Nice stay. Love being on the river

I had a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable'cabin' like. A little old, but they are kept up. The best part was being on the river. The corner room that I had is the way to go. Check in was very easy. Never had to go into the office.
John, 3-night trip

Very nice staff, beautiful room. Quiet and peaceful, highly recommend!
Elijah, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very welcoming, cozy and quiet place, I loved having a fireplace in the room and wood already available 💕
Erika, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The place seemed pretty worn down. It felt like they just might not have the money to keep up with repairs. The first 15 minutes of being there our carbon monoxide alarm started beeping. It was harder to get a hold of them than we would’ve like. They also didn’t tell us they went into our room while we weren’t there, we learned later. They left the office earlier than the time they advertised. Also, very hot. All they had was a tiny fan. The screen for the patio door was broken some so we couldn’t even keep the door opened without bugs getting in. Otherwise, it was an okay place to crash and shower. Wouldn’t want to hang out there though.
Gavin, 2-night trip

Arrived late and got the keys via late checkout. The lodge was really cozy and comfortable, enjoyed the fireplace. Really good place to stay and highly recommend!

April visit

Nice quiet little place. Not extravagant, but it meets the needs and was very clean. Obvious improvements have been made over the last couple years. Small playground on site. Located right next to the creek for a beautiful sound at night. Hot tub was nice.
