Old building that has some updates to the rooms, but the walls are thin, and the heating and plumbing systems are old and takes a long time to heat up. If you are looking for an economical place to stay with friendly staff - this is not a bad choice.

Even though this is obviously an older property, it was very clean, and I was impressed with how the manager went out of his way to welcome me, including giving me a welcome gift of bottled water and a snack. Definitely unexpected, as was the wide selection of TV channels!

Very clean and well maintained.
Older motel, not fancy but very clean. Bed was comfortable enough. Desk clerk was very friendly and polite. Overall a good experience. We have family in Washington and have stayed at the other hotel in town. Hawkeye was definitely cleaner better maintained. This will be our hotel choice from now on.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The area surrounding the motel was pretty quiet and safe. However, the hotel room was extremely hot and muggy upon arrival. We ended up moving rooms because the air wasn’t working. It took awhile before the air cooled the other room as well. It would be nice if they turned air on prior to arrival.
