Check in was at the pub, only by the landlady, who was on the phone when we arrived. No problem, we had a drink while we waited. A short walk to the accomodation, where we were shown how to operate the boiler.
We had booked the 2 bedroom cottage, and we found it clean, modern and spacious. Just like a modern semi bungalow in fact. Bedding and towels were provided and were spotless. Well equipped kitchen, with oven grill and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and kettle. No dishwasher, not a problem. You will need to supply your own washing up gloves, cloths and teatowels.
A short walk takes you to the main road into Filey. Across the road is a road that winds it way past residential housing and to the beach, with access to Primrose Valley. Along the route is a very pleasant little park with lake and benches.
Filey is about 2 miles away, around £7.50 by taxi or a ride on the local bus service.
We ate in the pub one night and found the service excellent, the food very good, and the staff lovely.
