Tucked away in Bad Kohlgrub, this hotel is a hidden gem. Reasonably priced, with a ton of amenities. Typical European scheduling at the front desk (i.e. closes at 10pm and there is no night shift). The parking lot is very small (again, typical for Europe) but as we were on motorcycles we had no issues. The on-site restaurant is also very nice, and the food is well above par. Of particular note is that the breakfast in the restaurant is a mix of European-style with some Americanisms thrown in (scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage were available), which was a pleasant surprise. The entire hotel/restaurant looks like it is kept very clean, or was recently renovated, or both. The outdoor seating area furniture all looked new, and the overall arrangement is conductive to gathering around the table with friends at the end of a long day of vacation activities.

Top class customer service
From the moment you walk into this hotel you are welcomed and treated as valued customers. The welcome from the reception staff was exceptional. The hotel exudes a calming ambiance. The interior decor is wonderfully Bavarian. We thoroughly enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurant. We did find the bedroom rather warm at nightime due to an absence of air conditioning. The spa and wellness facilities are very good. We experienced only the best from all the staff members we encountered during our stay. The customer service is outstanding at this hotel. It is definitely a hotel to which we would wish to return. Finally, the area of Bad Kohlgrub is beautiful and wonderful for hiking/cycling and well worth a visit.

Enjoy the rising Alps
Very nice staff, helpful and friendly. The room was small, but comfortable, clean and cosy. The breakfast was plentiful and food always fresh. I did not try the Spa, but I could see that it is really big, and a variety of offers. I went out hiking all the time. Views are striking and there are plenty of activities. The hotel even offers FOC rental bikes and they have an indoor pool

Did not get to take advantage of spa, deeply regret. Too short of trip. Staff, food, everything was excellent, even though it rained everyday, the gardens and view were still beautiful. Most comfortable bed we had in Germany.

Im Grunde ein sehr schönes Hotel. Leider sidn einige Zimmer sowie die Flure doch arg in die Jahre gekommen. Die renovierten Bereiche sind allerdings sehr gelungen. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Ein sehr gutes Frühstück und ein schöner Spa entschädigen aber. Und die Gegend ist ein Traum.
