Terrific location

Hostel is located ideally. Narrow stairway to first floor. Clean. Room has bare minimum. Water bottle & 2 glasses w/linens & fan sre the amenities. No kitchen facilities or even hot water kettle is available. Decor is off-beat, could use a make over. Shared bathroom could be problematic w/guests.

The property is very centrally located in old town and though you can’t drive right up to it a cab can drop you off less than 3 blocks away. The room was clean and quaint. I stayed a week and without a view it started to feel a bit small. No reception so you need to be around for the maids to provide you with new towels. Shared washroom facilities were okay, never had to wait too long. For the price, I was a little underwhelmed, but overall this is a great place to stay if you’re traveling alone or with a partner and want to be in the thick of old town.

This place did not live up to the presentation at the hotelsite. We were relocated to a smaller room in a nearby building. Wifi didn't work. No bulbs in the lamps etc.

Excellent stay in the heart of the old town.

I was nervous about staying here after reading some negative reviews but needn’t have worried. I didn’t receive the door codes so called when I arrived and the woman I spoke to was really helpful - she sent me them on WhatsApp. She stayed on the phone to make sure I could enter the property. The room (3 single beds) was decorated nicely and was really clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a water dispenser in the hallway and maps etc. Both bathrooms were spacious and very clean despite being shared facilities. We didn’t wait to use them at all. I suspect if we’d stayed in the peak of summer, we may have had to wait our turn. Location was fantastic - right in the old town and 5mins walk to the beach. We could hear noise from the bars but we chose to stay on the main street where the bars are so we expected noise. It didn’t go on too late. I am a lone female with 2 daughters (14 and 11) and felt completely safe staying here - in fact, it was one of our favourite stops on our backpacking trip. Would definitely stay here again.

Mon avis personnel est très défavorable mais je vais être très factuelle et aux autres clientsde juger: Prix 97,50 € la nuit Chambre sans salle de bain/ toilette Chambre sans bureau A peine la place pour le lit et circuler Wifi qui coupe sans arrêt Pas accès à mon propre réseau téléphonique (il faut sortir de l'immeuble) Les rideaux de la fenêtre sont très clairs. Toute la nuit chaque fois qu'une personne passe (fenêtre donnant sur une coure intérieure) vous êtes éclairé Fenêtre pas insonorisée (on entend tout de la rue) Les photos sur le site montrent la chambre avec salle de bain et toilette, ce qui induit en erreur car on ne s'imagine pas à ça vu le prix Et tout cela sans service puisqu'il s'agit d'un self-checking!

Posizione ottima, stanza pulita e confortevole, nonostante i bagni in comune che però abbiamo trovato sempre in buone condizioni. Unica pecca il check in. Alle 15.30 non avevamo ancora ricevuto i codici, che ci sono stati inviati solo a seguito di chiamata (ufficialmente sono poi arrivati alle 18).

Scandaleusement cher

Terriblement déçu Surtout pour un rapport qualité prix assez scandaleux pour une chambre simple donnant sur une petite cour sombre, sans même un lavabo. Salle de bain et toilettes séparées. Même pas une nuit complète (21h si on compte l’arrivée après 15h et le depart obligé à 12h). Sans compter les messages écrits menaçant des amendes les hotes s'ils salissent trop les serviettes de toilette ou s'ils font du bruit. Franchement ça donne envie de fuir.

La chambre en elle même était propre, cependant l’enregistrement doit se faire au téléphone, près de 30 min de perdue pour avoir le code d’accès, et surtout grande surprise, aucune indication pour dire que ce sont des chambres avec des sanitaires communes, cette « surprise » a gâchée le séjour. Mais l’endroit est bien situé malgré tout et reste correct que pour une nuit

Peut-on décemment appeler un hôtel si la chambre n'est pas nettoyée une seule fois pendant un séjour d'une semaine, même si c'est un "hôtel" une étoile ?? Ma chambre n'avait aucun meuble de rangement, pas même une étagère; aussi aucune chaise et table pour poser l'ordinateur. Encore une chose : je passe sur les toilettes et douches sur le palier..., mais il pourrait quand même y avoir un lavabo dans la chambre, non ? Service impersonnel car tout se fait par codes, aussi à noter qu'il a fallu attendre 15h15 pour avoir les codes d'accès à l'enregistrement. Seuls points positifs : l'emplacement et la propreté de la chambre à l'arrivée.

Coqueto y decirado con gusto. Muy limpio. La ubicación es buenisima, lo que es una pena es que fui un fin de semana post pandemia y fue algo ruidoso. Decir q proporcionan tapones para los oidos, todo un detalle del guest house. Aparcar cerca no nos fue gratis.

The kind of place that makes you feel dirty

Central and loud during the nights, which is to be expected in the old town. Other than that, this is the kind of place that makes you feel dirty at all times (sticky, dirty floor; feces in the toilet bowl; dirty linen; no cleaning/room service). Wifi didn’t work. Although there is a private bathroom, it’s outside the room, with a strong smell coming through the window. We stayed in other places in San Sebastián before and for the quality they provide it is way too overpriced!
