We adored this hotel so much. The staff are exceptional - they make you feel like a part of a family or an old friend, taking the time to chat and are just genuinely kind, even after the end of a big summer season (they were closing for winter in a few days time). We loved going in October - the weather was perfect at around 25c and not too busy, but even though the hotel was full, you'd never know it. The food was superb! Every day there was a variety of main dishes, plus about 8 different puddings - my goodness we needed to stop eating when we came home! Half board is worth it. There is a taverna opposite which is nice for lunch but the food is no where near the standard of the hotel.
My only quibble is the amount of food that gets wasted as a result of half board (they are not alone in this), they don't really advertise re-using your towels enough and the amount of plastic bottles that get used e.g. handed out just before dinner time, when they clean the room and even in the gym - I have no doubt many hotels are the same and could they please get a water fountain / stations around the hotel and give guests a re-usable, thermos water bottle? Put your brand on it and then people will use it again and again once they return home and your logo will be seen - simple things like this can make it a more eco-friendly hotel, and given that they have an award for being so, I was surprised. But despite all that, you will have an amazing time! We had a hot tub which is fab too!
