Beautiful disappointment
The penthouse was great but the restaurants and bars were beyond horrible! The food was barely edible and the bartenders don’t have a clue how to make drinks. In addition no one speaks nor do they understand d English at all and the beach bar staff were rude to my spouse.

Splash to hell…
I seldom write any review and usually positive. This is one of the very rare occasion that I write a negative review, I could not let it go, must let others know. This was “hell”. Their description and photos are wrong, mislead, purely scam. They gave me a room far away from pools and beach, dirty, very old, stains everywhere, smelt urine and mildew inside the building, rooms, closets, cabinets. Very loud A/C, very loud noise from airplane feels hit by earthquake, every minute 24 hours a day, impossible to sleep. Nearby lake/swamp is nasty and brings mosquitoes to rooms, very inconvenient to go anywhere, inside the area or outside to restaurants. Terrible place, I counted hours and left as soon as possible. Never ever go to this hotel or any other hotel in this area. No time to write more, very bad place… a jail in hell…

OK for a short stay nearby the airport
We chose this resort mainly because of the waterpark, but it turned out to be quite a joke. It's closed on Tuesday and Wednesday (we had no clue), so we could only visit it for one day (which was enough in the end). Even though the park is within the resort, you cannot take anything inside with you, not even towels... again, you're not allowed to bring towels to a waterpark. You have to rent them inside the park. Same with water and everything else. The attractions are OK for a few hours, but half a day was enough. The area of the hotel is huge, with potentially large distances between your room and the pool/restaurant/beach, etc. Golf carts do operate but are hard to catch. The floor around the pool is covered with some very old wood that gets extremely hot during the day. The rooms are nice and spacy, though, and the breakfast is also very generous, so all in all, the hotel is OK for a few days, and the staff is amicable and helpful (like everywhere in Thailand). Unfortunately, there are almost solely russian speaking guests in the hotel, which can be annoying for some. It also influences the nearby restaurants that have menus in azbuka, and they greet you in russian.

The staff we're fantastic. Did not like the fact that the water park was closed 2 days a week and we were not informed of that when we booked the hotel. Also when the park was actually opened it closed early.

We stayed in an Oceanfront Villa with Private Pool which was fantastic. We are a family of 4 with 2 late teen daughters so we had plenty of room in the villa and the pool was very big and private which was great for us. The Resort is very big but they have a buggy service day and night to get you around if you don't feel like walking everywhere. Beautiful beach front resort and big resort pool and beach bar/restaurant. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge range of options available. Some parts of the resort are a bit dated and in need of repair but all around the position of the resort was great and only 20 minutes from the airport. There is also plenty of restaurants around the area if you don't want to eat at the resort all the time. If you are looking for a quieter place to stay in Phuket then this is good.
