Overall nice couple of days at The Harbour Beach but lacking a separate and larger indoor lounge area. Spa reception area not as relaxing as other hotels we have visited, shower area lacking places to hang robe in cubicle, had to leave robe and towel on floor which got wet. Free shuttle into Salcombe and back excellent inc driver. Hotel staff polite and very helpful.

We had a sea view room that was an unbelievable view. Our room was clean and had the best bed we’d ever slept in! Like sleeping in a cloud. The staff are friendly and helpful. Salcombe town is a (complimentary) 10 min bus shuttle ride away or take a water ferry. We have loved the spa too. We will be back next year. Can’t wait to book again.

Waited quite awhile for the parking barrier to be lifted to allow access to the parking. There were a number of steps up to the entrance of the hotel. Difficult with heavy cases. Room was a good size, however the shower head was in need of a descale and the drainage in the bath needed to be looked at. In the mini bar there was an open bottle of tonic. On the whole the staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great, but the evening meal was a bit of a let down. The shuttle bus was a godsend! What real spoiled the holiday was that the jacuzzi wasn’t working!

We stayed at Harbour Hotel in Padstow and ate in the restaurant two nights during our stay. Then the same for Harbour Hotel in Salcombe. if you’re looking for a food experience then Padstow wins hands down. I would rate the food in Salcombe as good but Padstow is another level or two up; perhaps it’s the Rick Stein effect………

This is a hotel in a perfect location. It is so beautiful to look into the bay and so wonderful to be able to go on the most incredible coastal walks from the doorstep. Lovely hotel in a great location. Helpful staff. Received an upgrade to a suite which was an unexpected surprise. Continental breakfast was good but a bit disappointing that a hot breakfast option was an additional £10. Most breakfast included rates include hot food in my experience. Didn’t eat dinner in the hotel purely because we found ourselves eating in the good pubs of Salcombe each evening which were cheaper and just as good as any hotel restaurants. My only gripe about our room were the standard of the pillows. There were two rock hard misshapen (foam?) pillows that gave me a headache /neckache every night. So uncomfortable. I got an additional pillow delivered but it was still the hard misshapen foam variety. Guests love luxury plush feather/down pillows in hotels - why this otherwise lovely hotel doesn’t have them I have no idea. Really perplexing and not a luxury sleeping experience at all. Other than that good hotel but wouldn’t come back unless pillows were improved. Sorry!

Room overlooking the beach, very spacious & clean. Good soundproofing our sleep was not disturbed by other guests. Used the pool and sauna all very clean & very helpful staff. Breakfast was a lovely continental selection, lots of fresh fruit. Restaurant had a stunning view of the beach, would've like some lighter options for lunch and dinner. Mini bus was a great little added extra for getting to and from the edge of town. Very helpful staff eager to help.
