This was a very pleasant surprise - nice wooden beamed room and large comfortable bed with a continental style breakfast in a quiet village location. Check in and check out was, in the end, easy, although we are still waiting for a response to a query message. We arrived well before the specified 5pm check in time but this didn't seem to be a problem. The 10am check out was not ideal but we worked around it.

Our room was small but lovely, with a very good shower and lots of clean towels. The continental breakfast was plentiful and shared with other guests in the breakfast room. All the staff we met were friendly and polite, treating locals and guests with the same respect and courtesy. Our evening meal was delicious, with tasty vegetarian options as well as lots of meat/fish on offer and the draught cider was especially welcome in the heat! We found this place by chance but we definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again.

This booking was for an overnight stay for a short break in Herefordshire, so all we really wanted was a comfortable bed for the night. We got that and much more. The room we booked was compact, but fully equipped. The bed was firm which was very much to our liking. The room was spotlessly clean. Our booking was managed by the Inn's bar staff who were competent and very friendly. Being able to get a tasty meal at the inn after a day's activities was a further plus. The only items which need attention are the front door which grinds on the floor and needs adjusting, and the bathroom extractor fan which doesn't seem to work. If the opportunity arose we would definitely stay here again.
