Delightful getaway
The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a shared bathroom for the floor, which was fine for us since only one other room was occupied. (I don’t know how that goes when the inn is full.) We did not take advantage of any of the other common areas (living room w/TV, sitting room). The entire house is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style, with lots of furniture, busy wallpaper, and decorative items on the shelves, dressers and side tables. It looked great, but I was afraid to put any of my own things on the dresser because I thought I might overlook them amidst all the other items when it came time to leave. Our host was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast far surpassed our expectations. I would certainly stay there again.

The historic setting of the Perkins house was very fun to learn about—it has a unique history and the owners preserved it’s originality. It was decorated to the extreme with antiques and knickknacks which made it feel a bit cluttered and our bedroom was so full of things that there was not much room left to lay out our things. But the breakfast provided was delicious each morning and was very satisfying.

From when you pull up, to the porch, to the house, to the garden everything is so well taken care of and clean. The owners are welcoming and have everything you need and more to make your stay perfect. I loved how each room had its own character. The coffee and breakfast were truly delicious.
