4/10 Fair

Definitely a budget hotel
We were not greeted upon entering and got attitude from “bothering” the front desk woman from playing her phone.
Breakfast included a “ticketing” system with physical raffle tickets (and not one per day… they wrote your stay on the back and you had to keep and return it each morning). The buffet-style breakfast had no meat, just carb-heavy premade or “conveyor-belt-style” pancakes. This didn’t stop the “cook” from standing over your shoulder the entire time criticizing every move you made. And once again, if something was out of stock, good luck getting them to do their job without a lot of lip service about how “busy” they are watching people eat.
The room itself was about motel-level in terms of quality. The tub had pieces chipped out of it. There was mold all over the bathroom. The AC had several leak spots that ruined the ceiling and left puddles on the floor. Bed was stiff and squeaked from the smallest movement.
The kicker to all of this was the fact that the elevator itself was out of service. So not only highly dangerous, also illegal. But you didn’t pay that much mind as the ceiling was crumbling on the 2nd floor and you had to walk around the numerous buckets and tools that they had to attempt to stop the leak.
2-night family trip
