"In general we were quite happy to have the option with the "automated" check-in. It went very easily, however it took me 40min and a lot of communication forth and back to get it organized. Good here, was that "someone" was promptly available to chat/write emails to me and tried to send me the link for the online check-in which is pre-requisite to get the entry code.
