Great dining downtown and surrounding area. Downtown restaurants are not early birds though so breakfast in the hotel is a good option. Blue Moon Diner is also a good place for breakfast and is only a few blocks away. Monticello is also a must!

Really enjoyed our visit to Monticello. Definitely took a good half a day. With the timed ticket for the first floor of the house there was access to the grounds, museums, information on Thomas Jefferson, the plantation and slavery.

I haven't been to C'ville in over 20 years and it's just such a great place. Small town feel but everyone is so open minded. Great restaurants/breweries nearby and great hiking near as well.

Charlottesville is a great location near the Shenandoah National Park. It is a college town, so a lot of young people. I did like the walking mall area near our hotel.

We were only there for overnight. We got there at 7:30 and had dinner at a nice French restaurant. In the morning we toured UVA and Monticello

"Loved our stay, nice room, friendly staff, convenient to grounds, very clean, quaint pool. The valet parking was odd — literally paid a fee to move our car about 30 feet, but whatever."

"Brand new property, the super nice lady at the front desk said that it had only been open for about 9 weeks, so everything is fresh and new. Great little kitchenette and nice appliances, It is a little bare bones, but nicer than some of the other places we have stayed on our cross country trip. "
